Over the weekend, three Brucell's whales appeared near ILHABELA Island off the coast of São Paulo State. Photographer and animal researcher Giulio took pictures of them.

Brinell whales are more common off the coast of Brazil, but they are usually far from ships and often appear in the summer.

"Between March and October, they disappear because they are looking for schools of fish, after which they appear more in shallower areas of the surface." Giulio said.

In addition to The Bruce's whales, other species of whales also roam the coast of Saint State. This year in the ILHABELA region, there were more than 250 humpback whales between January and June.
