On July 22, three legendary stars, Iker Casillas, Fernando Morientes and Luis Garcia, visited the ITTF Museum and the China Table Tennis Museum (hereinafter referred to as the Table Tennis Museum), and the Olympic and World Championships doubles champions Wang Liqin and Yan Sen attended together, and the two sides launched an interactive dialogue between football and table tennis.
It is understood that the visit of the above three stars to the Table Expo, which is one of the stops of their five-day "La Liga Club Legend China Tour" with La Liga to China.
In the afternoon of the same day, when the three arrived at the table expo, Wang Liqin and Yan Sen greeted and warmly welcomed them outside the museum. Accompanied by Wang Liqin and Yan Sen, three legendary La Liga stars visited the Table Tennis Museum to understand the century-old development history of table tennis and appreciate the exquisite and unique collections in the museum.
After the visit, the champion hall on the second floor of the table expo opened the "football table tennis confrontation" activity. The three La Liga stars picked up table tennis rackets on the spot, paired up with Wang Liqin and Yan Sen for a doubles match, competed table tennis skills, and experienced the offensive from the table tennis serving robot "Pombert".
After challenging the Chinese national ball, the three La Liga stars switched to football skills to play "football table tennis". Wang Liqin and Yan Sen also staged several brilliant headers. Stars from football and table tennis have shown good performance in each other's fields. Iker Casillas said: "I used to watch table tennis on TV, which is completely different from playing in person today, this sport requires extremely coordinated physical, hand and eye skills, and I can imagine the hardship of athletes' training. ”
As ambassadors of Spanish culture and football, this trip hopes to build a bridge between China and the West, and also hopes to create more opportunities to carry out sports and cultural exchanges in China in the future.
