On July 20, the reporter learned from the Tanghe County Market Supervision Bureau that "Tanghe Tong Egg" was approved and registered by the State Intellectual Property Office and became a national geographical indication certification trademark.
It is understood that Tanghe Tong Egg is a famous specialty of Tonghe Township in the county, which was a tribute to the court in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and is famous at home and abroad for its delicious taste, refreshing food, and endless aroma of long-term taste. In 2007, it was selected into the list of intangible cultural heritage of Nanyang City, and in 2008, it was selected into the list of intangible cultural heritage of Henan Province. Obtaining the national geographical indication certification trademark is conducive to defining the geographical scope of origin and product-specific quality of geographical indication goods, standardizing their production and operation activities, and has important and far-reaching significance for enhancing product popularity and competitiveness, promoting regional economic development, realizing brand rich peasants, and promoting rural revitalization.
