"I'm very excited these two days, this ship is done, I really didn't sleep." On July 7, in the ship model workshop of Huzhou Traffic Technician College, 78-year-old traffic man Hong Zhengfang held a 300-ton fishing administration ship model, which was his first ship model made by using 3D printing technology for more than a month, and also contributed to the 19th China Maritime Day.

Hong Zhengfang graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University majoring in shipbuilding, and has been working as a ship model for 18 years since he retired in 2005. 18 years ago, Hong Zhengfang established the ship model research institute, purchased a computer engraving machine from Shanghai, and took the lead in using computer engraving technology to replace handmade ship models.

With the advancement of science and technology, new technologies are also used in ship model production. The 300-ton fishing administration vessel is all made of 3D printing and is one meter long. "This engraving machine has been with me for 18 years, and now it is eliminated and turned into 3D printing." Hong Zhengfang said that after the liquid material is 3D printed and formed, it goes through cleaning, light curing and other processes, which is also his first attempt.

"Traditional manual can not do this, 3D printed double windlass machine, fire cannon, horn, light tower, lifeboat and other parts are very realistic. The ship model is beautiful, environmentally friendly, does not deform, does not age, can be permanently collected and exhibited, and the cost control is similar to the traditional process. Hong Zhengfang said, "We elderly people should also keep up with the pace of technological progress and move forward for hobbies." ”
