The application characteristics, indications, application methods and correction effects of bracketless invisible correction technology in patients with type II misalignment were analyzed in detail, and the atmosphere of the venue was warm and burst into applause.
In the theme lecture, Professor Bai Yuxing said that class II malocclusion deformity has a very high incidence clinically, the pathogenesis is different, and the correction methods are also diverse, whether it is active correction, functional correction, invisible correction, or orthodontic orthognathic surgery, and in fact, different correction techniques are used for different ages and stages of class II malocclusion correction, and the treatment goals are the same: coordination of occlusal function, alignment of dentition, improvement of appearance, etc.

Treatment for occlusion of causes
For class II deformities caused by functional factors and growth factors in the process of growth and development, we should carry out blocking correction, such as correcting bad habits of mouth breathing and lip muscles, functional training of mouth and jaw muscles, and correction of respiratory tract, adenoids and other diseases.
Growth modification therapy
In growth and development, growth improvement treatment is adopted for bony class II malformations with growth and development potential, mainly for hyperdevelopment of the maxilla, to inhibit the growth of the maxillary jaw, such as the external arch of the mouth or other extraoral force of muscle work agonists, adapted to the maxillary anterior protrusion or maxillary protrusion tendency, accompanied by mandibular retraction, vertical control.
For insufficient jaw development, it is necessary to promote the growth of the mandible. There are many such functional appliances, such as Activator, Frankel, Bionator, Herbst, Twin Block, Jasper Jumper, etc., which are especially suitable for class II deformities caused by mandibular retraction, replacement period to early permanent teeth, deep coverage of anterior teeth, and low-angle cases.
Invisible appliances to promote jaw growth is more used in clinical practice, Professor Bai Yuxing emphasized that mandibular extension should be set in the software (platform) in advance for occlusal reconstruction, mandibular anterior extension in the vertical direction, sagittal positioning, how much occlusal opens, how much mandibular anterior extension, which is the same in invisible correction.
Conventional orthodontic treatment
In the early and permanent teeth stage of common clinical teeth, tooth extraction, non-extraction correction or occlusal jumping are adopted for class II deformities, and relevant clinical practice shows that bracketless invisible appliances have good performance and high efficiency in cases of pushing molars in the distance.
Combined surgical treatment
For severe bony class II deformities, preoperative orthodontics and postoperative orthodontics with orthodontic-orthognathic combination therapy can also be used invisibly corrected.
With the continuous development of invisible orthodontic technology, its indications are getting wider and wider, and bracketless invisible orthodontists are also attracting more and more orthodontists to focus on this technology with its unique advantages. Professor Bai Yuxing summarized the indications of invisible correction in the correction of class II malocclusion from a large number of clinical cases: promoting the growth of the mandible and inhibiting the growth of the maxilla; Conventional orthodontic treatment, such as tooth extraction, various tooth extraction modes without tooth extraction, and orthodontic-orthognathic combination treatment.
Professor Bai Yuxing said that for the correction of class II malocclusion, no matter what methods and means are adopted, correction technology is only a tool, and the more important thing is to clarify the etiological mechanism of malocclusion deformity, and carry out correct and accurate diagnosis, in order to use various tools to complete the treatment of each case.
