Nanna Drewes Brøndum | The vitality inherent in the human body

Nanna Drewes Brøndum is a Danish sculptor specializing in figurative sculpture and portrait sculpture. She is commissioned by the Copenhagen studio to create solo works and sculptures. As part of a diverse and ever-changing contemporary art scene, she is committed to craftsmanship and the use of traditional materials. The human form and its inner life are her main interests and inspiration.

She modeled from clay and wax and cast in plaster and bronze. Since 2004, she has made her own sculptures and busts to order in her studio in Copenhagen. Nanna Drewes Brøndum has exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Gallery of London City Hall in connection with the Sculpture Award and the Founder's Award respectively. Since 2006, she has represented the Society of Portrait Sculptors in London's annual exhibition "Face" and in 2012 received the Society's Award for Best Portrait in the Exhibition. She is currently a member of the British Society of Portrait Sculptors.
