Marlowe Episode 1/3.
This is the latest crime film "Marlowe" in the United States in 2023. The film starred Liam Neeson, and without further ado, the film officially begins.
The story takes place in 1939, and the male protagonist Marlowe is a very famous private investigator. One day a noblewoman named Claire comes to his studio and entrusts him with finding a man. The man named Nick was his lover. In the conversation that followed, he only told Marlowe that Nick's job was to manage the props on the set. Just two weeks ago, he suddenly disappeared. He went to Nick's house to look for him, but he couldn't find him. However, Claire did not say why she was looking for Nick. Out of professional ethics, Marlowe didn't ask much.
However, after several days of investigation by Marlowe, everything was finally learned from Detective White. It turned out that Nick was hit and killed by a car outside Kotal's private club a few days ago, and the death was terrible. After learning the news, Marlowe immediately went to Claire's house to tell him the news. However, Claire's words directly made Marlowe angry. Because of everything he had painstakingly investigated, Claire knew it all, and he thought Claire was completely entertaining.
Later, Claire gave him a shocking message. It was the other day, and he saw Nick driving past him again, pulling a lot of antiques and figuring from the car. If Nick is still alive, who is the person who was hit and killed by the car? Why did Nick choose to disappear? That's the truth Claire wants to know.
However, Claire asked Marlowe to investigate the matter, and this is only the reason, whether he still hides some hidden secrets from Marlowe.
Marlowe came to the bar in the evening and told the police about White, who said there were no witnesses to the accident, and confirmed that the deceased was Nick through the manager of Kotal's private club and Nick's sister. Speaking of this, Marlowe suddenly thought of a question: Why did the club manager know Nick? Could it be that Nick is a member of the club?
The next day Marlowe arrived at Kotal Private Club and manager Kane told Marlowe that Nick was not a member of the club. But he refused to tell Marlowe who invited Nick to the club. Marlowe thinks it must be inseparable from the club. So he told Kane that Nick was still alive, and Kane was very surprised, and immediately asked Marlowe to leave here. That's it.
This traffic accident must have something to do with the club. However, when Marlowe left, a beautiful woman took the initiative to greet Marlowe.
This person is Nick's sister, and she whispers to Marlowe that she wants to know the truth and will go to Nick's house tomorrow to find her.
Just after leaving the club, Claire's mother met Marlowe again, and he told Marlowe that he was a former Hollywood movie star and very rich. He knows that Marlowe is helping Claire find Nick, but hopes that Marlowe will inform him as soon as he finds Nick that he is willing to pay 3 times more than Claire's detective fee. However, Marlowe said that he finally stopped and would not accept employment from others.
The next day, Marlowe came to Nick's house, and as soon as he saw Nick's sister, two Mexican gangster men followed, they wanted to learn Selina's whereabouts from Nick's sister, and Nick's sister knew their purpose and ran away. Marlowe blocked a Mexican man and got into a fight with him. In the end, Marlowe wounded a Mexican man, but he was attacked by another man and knocked unconscious.
