On July 9, the 2023 China Youyang Jinxiu Flower Field Calamus Grassland Ecological Marathon started in Youyang Iris Gai Scenic Area, and more than 500 runners from all over the country competed on the "cloud" track with an average altitude of more than 1,200 meters to share the fun of sports.
The marathon set up two events, half marathon (21.0975 km) and 5 km fun run, attracting more than 500 athletes from all over the country, including 279 men and 113 women in the half marathon, and 127 in the 5km fun run.
During the race, the runners breathed the air of tens of thousands of negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter, glanced at the sea of clouds and flowers in the scenic area, appreciated the unique ecological and cultural scenery of Youyang during the run, and enjoyed the sports fun brought by the marathon.
After fierce competition, Zhou Bo, a half-marathon men's runner, won the championship with a time of 1 hour, 11 minutes and 9 seconds, Zhao Xiangbo won the second place with a time of 1 hour, 11 minutes and 34 seconds, and Chen Xinyu won the third place with a time of 1 hour, 13 minutes and 14 seconds; Half marathon runner Dong Tian won the championship with a time of 1 hour, 28 minutes and 56 seconds, Zhou Liangju was second in 1 hour 34 minutes and 41 seconds, and Li Chunxia was third in 1 hour 35 minutes and 46 seconds.
