According to reports, Lee Sang-eun performed at the Samraku-dong Culture and Arts Hall in Gimcheon, South Korea, on July 6, and at about 8:23 p.m., the staff found Li Sang-eun collapsed in the women's toilet on the third floor, called the police and sent him to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately died.

According to the data, Lee Sang-eun graduated from the School of Music of Seoul National University, studied at the Meines School of Music in New York, USA, and obtained a master's degree, and is a famous soprano singer in the Korean opera industry.
Lee Sang-eun has previously been active in opera houses in Europe and Asia, including "The Magic Flute", "Queen of the Night" and "Madama Butterfly", etc., and has performed in Hong Kong, China, and since 2019, he has mainly been active in the Korean stage. Li Shangen's original performance that day was "Carmina Branagh".
