【Appreciation of Calligraphy and Painting】 Yi Bingshou "Guangxiao Temple Yu Zhongxiang Ancestral Monument"

There is a folk saying "Before there is a sheep city, there is light filial piety". The Yu Zhongxiang Shrine and stele were built in the 16th year of Jiaqing (1811) of the Qing Dynasty. Yu Chuanzi Zhongxiang (164-233) was a native of Yuyao, Zhejiang during the Wu period of the Three Kingdoms. Yu was good at scripture study, and because of his violation of Sun Quan, he was sent to Guangzhou, "Although he was punished for sin, he lectured tirelessly, and his disciples often numbered in the hundreds." Later Sun Quan repented and ordered Ruyu to be overturned and given back to his personnel and ships. If he dies, he will return home to his hometown and let his son be an official. But by this time, Yu Tuan was gone.

The author of the inscription, Zeng Yi, was a native of Jiangxi City, and a Qianlong Jinshi. The writer Yi Bingshou is a master of the Qing Dynasty. There are still many surviving Yi ink blots, but few long and huge works. This stele is not widely circulated, but it has a large number of words, and it is a careful work of Yi, and those who are interested in learning Yishu should be of great benefit to carefully study this stele.
