The results of the 9th Shanghai Maker Rising Star Competition were announced recently. Songjiang District has won a total of 33 awards, including 4 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 22 third prizes, ranking first and reaching the best level in all years. It is worth mentioning that Jia Jing's "One Big Image" by Jiuting Middle School also won the first prize of the Junior High School Group Cultural and Creative Intelligent Manufacturing Award, and the Songjiang District Youth Activity Center also won the Excellent Organization Award.
Jia Jing introduced that the design of "One Great Image" was inspired by the Great Memorial Hall of the Communist Party of China. In addition to using old-fashioned film projectors to condense historical events, objects, characters and stories into one piece of film, it also comprehensively uses 3D printing technology, acousto-optoelectronics, programming and other technologies.
Also winning the first prize of the "Cultural Tourism Intelligent Innovation Category" project was the "Guzhen Intelligent Humidity Sensor Flower Pot" designed by Ning Ranyu, Wu You and Jia Leying of the Engineering University Sijing Affiliated School. Green bricks, Dewa, horse head walls and other characteristic elements and ceramic skills of Sijing Ancient Town are reflected in the works.
In the "Fun Intelligent Manufacturing Category" project section, "Cultivate Children's Habit of Closing the Refrigerator Door Based on Image Recognition Technology" designed by Zhang Jingchen, a student of Donghua Affiliated School, and "Fighting Dodge Intelligent Sparring Robot" designed by Liu Mocheng, a student of Sanxin School, also won the first prize.
It is understood that the competition is divided into three major sections: Maker Rising Star Carnival, Maker Marathon and Maker Experience Workshop, of which the Carnival is divided into two categories: "Fun Intelligent Manufacturing" and "Cultural Tourism Intelligent Creation". The competition aims to guide young people to dare to create, be willing to create, stimulate enthusiasm for creation, exercise practical ability, and cultivate a sense of social responsibility.
