Since the beginning of this year, the Jiang'an District Urban Management Bureau has comprehensively carried out special rectification actions for municipal facilities, comprehensively cleaned, beautified and upgraded urban furniture, led residents, college teachers and students, enterprise groups and other social forces to actively participate in it, and carried out the vivid practice of "creating a beautiful home and a happy life together".

Previously, after the original street name sign was removed on the sidewalk at the intersection of Wen Wen Road in Jianshe Xincun, two screw bases about 3 cm high were left on the road surface, which became "stumbling blocks" affecting the travel safety of nearby residents. Seeing that the community's WeChat group was widely soliciting clues about the abandonment and damage of various municipal facilities, the enthusiastic resident Zhang Dad immediately took photos to reflect the problem. When I passed by the next morning to buy vegetables and look again, the nails had disappeared and the road surface was as flat as new.

"The residents are the direct users of urban furniture, where there is a problem, they can feel it best, we should learn from the masses." There are many types and large types of public facilities in the city, and some small facilities and residual parts are hidden in back streets and old neighborhoods, and it is extremely difficult to find all of them. Adhering to the working concept of "learning from the masses", the District Urban Management Bureau uses the community WeChat group as a channel to invite residents to make suggestions for the renewal of urban furniture around them, and deal with the problems reflected immediately after verification.
"I was just thinking about the problem with the idea of giving it a try, but I didn't expect the problem to be solved quickly. Taking a picture can make the environment better, so why not! Ms. Qi, a resident, said that the "solicitation notice" has brought more convenience to everyone.

The relevant person in charge of the District Urban Management Bureau introduced that more than 300 problems of various municipal facilities have been collected through residents' channels, and more than 280 problem facilities have been rectified and cleaned up, with a disposal rate of more than 90%.

Under Cai Tian's fine painting, the electric cabinet "one-click cross-dressing" urban picture frame perfectly integrates with the surrounding street scene, injecting artistic vitality into the image of the entire block.
In April this year, at the invitation of the District Urban Management Bureau, Cai Tian and her classmates of the Academy of Fine Arts unlocked a new identity - urban furniture beauticians. This group of energetic young students, with their own wild creativity and solid art skills, have successively replaced more than 100 electrical cabinets on the streets of Jiang'an District with new clothes, promoting the upgrading of urban "soft decoration".

In order to meticulously care for the students' artworks, the District and Urban Management Bureau also used "black technology", pre-treatment of the electrical cabinet box before painting, polishing off the surface stains and parts eroded by automobile exhaust, and applying anti-corrosion paint as a primer. After painting, a new transparent light-curing finish and an anti-stick coating are applied to create a "foil" protective layer for the painted cabinets, so that these precious works of art can last longer.
"It's a very meaningful thing to make our city more beautiful through our own creations." Li Zhijie, a student from the Department of Art and Design, said that every time he creates a creation, he will carefully design and repeatedly conceive according to the surrounding urban style, such as painting similar trees next to big trees, drawing military images next to military academies, and drawing cartoon characters next to kindergartens, so that the cabinet style and the surrounding environment can coexist harmoniously, and also make the urban environment warmer and more attractive.
As a representative of new smart city furniture, 5G communication base stations are like "routers" in the city, which not only affect the refresh speed of the network, but also affect the overall development of Wuhan's construction of a "smart city".
In October last year, the Wuhan branch of China Tower Corporation applied to the district and urban management bureau to build 10 new 5G communication base stations in the region. In order to ensure the transmission efficiency and stability of 5G signals, the height of the signal tower pole of the base station is usually more than 45 meters, and a concrete of 3 or 4 meters high and 4 meters wide is poured at the ground as a base. However, this scheme not only obscures the line of sight and affects the aesthetics, but also will occupy more and more valuable urban public space in the future as the construction of base stations increases.

After joint discussion between the two parties and the invitation of professional construction companies to repeatedly design and demonstrate, the new construction technology of "pile foundation sinking" was finally developed, that is, under the premise of not affecting the safety of the base station, the base that was originally exposed on the ground was hidden under the ground, and only the tower body was exposed on the ground, so as to greatly "slim down" and save floor space.
