Since the removal of the wired version of the Viper Mini, the small hand mouse belonging to Razer seems to be the only wireless Viper Mini player version that is far away.
Fortunately, Razer has just released a Cobra Pro to fill the temporary gap of small hand mice, let's take a look at how it performs.
The first glance of getting the Cobra gives people the feeling that this is not the Razer of 2023.
You know, the current mouse market is the world of extremely lightweight e-sports mice, and the functions that can be cut are cut. Products like Cobra that are full of functions are rare in Razer's current production line.
The RGB configuration on Cobra is so numerous that it makes people feel like returning to the Razer that was still called "Light Factory" a few years ago, and when Razer did unlit e-sports two years ago, it was severely criticized by players.
In addition to the glowing three-headed snake logo, there is a Razer Chroma light strip on the mouse wheel and the bottom of the mouse, and the last time Razer had this lighting configuration mouse, it was the main multi-functional Baselis Snake V3 Pro.
Looking at the mold design, the Cobra's mold is different from all Razer mice currently on sale.
Mouse measurements: 119.6*62.5*38.1mm, although it is also a small hand size, but the mold design direction is completely different from the poisonous viper mini that players expect.
Razer's Viper series always adheres to the design concept of low back symmetry, and the mouse is light in the palm of the hand without losing control. The cobra, on the other hand, adopts a high-back symmetrical design, and the highest point of the mouse appears in the center of the back. It provides stable support for the palm when held, and experience an unparalleled grip.
In terms of grip, I recommend players with a hand length of less than 18CM who like to grasp and like the feeling of holding the palm of the hand, if you don't like the feeling of the palm of the hand, then it will be better to choose the poisonous viper.
I don't know what your attitude is towards rubber side skirts, I love and hate this thing.
The advantages are obvious, the slip resistance of this thing is excellent, no matter how sweaty your hands are, it will give you a firm grip on the mouse. The disadvantage is that it is not durable and easy to get dirty, when I use the Poison Viper Ultimate Edition, the side skirt will be grinded out of a small pit by me in about half a year, and the feel will drop significantly.
In contrast, I will prefer an ordinary plastic side skirt like the Viper V2, and send a pair of rubber side skirt anti-slip stickers in the package, leaving the choice to the user, and the important thing is that the non-slip stickers are replaced later, which is much more convenient than changing rubber side skirts.
The bottom of the mouse is the receiver storage compartment and wireless charging contacts, and the purchase of an additional wireless charging coil can realize the on-the-go charging of the mouse.
I remember a few years ago Razer released a HyperFlux mouse pad similar to Logitech PowerPlay, and I don't know if this mouse will still work.
Finally, let's look at the disassembly of the mouse, tear off the bottom two foot stickers and unscrew the four screws to open the mouse.
The mouse's battery and side buttons are fixed to the top half by a middle frame, and the lower half is the motherboard and the bottom glowing strip.
The roller lamp is fixed to the bracket by screws, consisting of two RGB lamp beads, and the inside of the roller has been hollowed out to reduce weight, and obvious lubrication marks can be seen.
There are a total of three visible ICs on the motherboard, which are the most powerful sensor PAW3950, Razer exclusive, and 30000DPI. I don't need to say more about how strong this sensor is.
The wireless IC is the flagship mouse standard Nrf52840, which is equipped with the Razer hypexSpeed low-latency wireless protocol, which can be as low as 1ms latency, and this time also supports Bluetooth connection, which can quickly switch between three Bluetooth devices. There is also a 3746A power management IC.
Micro-motion adopts Razer's third-generation light micro-motion, 9000W life, crisp hand feeling, never double-click. The encoder adopts TTC blue, which has a very good sense of passage and damping.
On the back of the motherboard are 9 Chroma lamp beads, and the white part is a light guide sticker, which can improve the visual brightness of the lamp beads.
The bottom is composed of two parts, the light guide strip and the bottom shell, which are connected to each other by snaps.
The Type-C connector is glued to the bottom shell separately and connected to the motherboard through four contacts.
Three positioning magnets can be seen on the bottom shell, which are used to pair with Razer's wireless charging base magnet.
Looking at the upper cover, the battery and side button plates and the DPI toggle button are all fixed in the same middle frame.
The side button and DPI switch button micro-movement both use Changfeng green dot, which is consistent with the side button micro-movement of Viper V2 and Viper V3.
The battery is 420Mah, which is slightly larger than the common 300Mah, but because the Cobra has too many lights.
I tested it myself, and if I put the lights up, the battery life is only about 12 hours. It is recommended that you do not turn on the lights too brightly and balance the battery life. Or simply turn off the lights so that you can use them for more than half a month at a time like other Razer wireless mice.
Of course, you can also buy a charging base, so that there is no longer battery life anxiety when you use it.
Both the primary and side keys are hot-melt fixed, and some weight-saving designs can be seen.
Since Cobra Pro is not Razer's flagship of extreme competition, and 11 RGB lamp beads and wireless charging modules are stuffed, the weight of the entire mouse reaches 77g. It's not bulky, but if you prefer something lighter, then I recommend you choose Razer's flagship mouse.

In my opinion, the Cobra Pro sits at the convergence point between professional esports players and ordinary players, which is a good demonstration of Razer's mouse technology accumulation. Although the mold design is quite different from the current Razer mouse, it also gives small hand players a new choice.
To say that the fly in the ointment, the rubber side skirt is a design that I don't like very much, and only the battery life is slightly insufficient, but this is also closely related to the lighting settings of the mouse, if you want to last, you need to sacrifice some of the mouse lighting effects, which you need to balance yourself.
