"Subai Bonsai Technique" is a national intangible cultural heritage. It has the reputation of "silent poetry", "three-dimensional painting" and "frozen music". On July 1st, "Illustrated Bonsai Technique", compiled by Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Gardens and Greening and published by Gu Wuxuan Publishing House, was officially unveiled at the new book launch of "Illustrated Bonsai Technique" at the Suzhou Pavilion of Suzhou International Expo Center.
At the press conference, Hua Yiming, deputy director of Suzhou Municipal Garden and Greening Administration, and Yao Xixin, deputy general manager of Suzhou News and Publication Group, jointly unveiled the new book "Illustrated Bonsai Technique" and presented the new book to the main creative team members of the new book. Tan Qiuyi, director of Suzhou Flower Bonsai Special Committee, senior engineer and editor-in-chief of "Illustrated Bonsai Techniques", and Shi Peiyuan, a master of Chinese bonsai art, exchanged speeches from the perspectives of book compilation and non-genetic inheritance.
Suzhou bonsai has a long history and a long history, influenced by the Wumen School, forming a "beautiful and elegant" style, together with the "Yang School" in Yangzhou, the "Sichuan School" in Sichuan, the "Hai School" in Shanghai, and the "Lingnan School" in Guangdong, it is known as the five major bonsai schools in China. The characteristics of Supai bonsai are "coarse and fine cutting", which not only pays attention to artistic processing, but also pursues natural character, and opposes excessive carving and decoration. Tan Qiuyi introduced that "Illustrated Bonsai Techniques" integrates artistry, knowledge and popular science with illustrated texts, comprehensively and systematically introduces the historical development of Suzhou bonsai, the basic classification of bonsai, the production techniques of bonsai, the maintenance and management of bonsai, and the appreciation of bonsai art, etc., which has strong readability and practicality.
Behind each boutique bonsai is permeated with years of hard work by bonsai craftsmen. Chinese bonsai master Shi Peiyuan shared his bonsai conservation experience and understanding of bonsai on the spot. He believes that bonsai creation and maintenance need practical guidance books, but there are few books on the market that explain bonsai production and maintenance in the form of illustrations, and the publication of "Illustrated Bonsai Skills" can not only allow bonsai beginners to get started quickly and experience the fun of making bonsai, but also have positive significance for inheriting and promoting Supai bonsai skills.
In order to let the audience further understand bonsai, the event site also set up a small and micro bonsai exhibition and a Supai bonsai technique display, and the audience actively visited, and the scene was very enthusiastic.
