SIVGA will release new products at the Munich Audio Exhibition in Germany every year, this year is "Luan", called LUAN abroad, priced at $299, domestic 1999 yuan.
It is reported that the on-site audition and post-exhibition evaluation have a good reputation. And my own feeling is that it has almost the same super high finish as SV021 (999 yuan), and it is also the highest overall design level of SIVGA (excluding Sounddy) brand headphones to date.
IN A 27-MINUTE LONG EVALUATION VIDEO, Z REVIEWS, A WELL-KNOWN AMERICAN EVALUATOR, SAID:
1. SIVGA LUAN has a better sound field and purity than MEZE 109 PRO (6599 yuan), if the latter is expensive, it can be replaced by LUAN.
2) SIVGA LUAN'S VOICE IS COMPLETELY COMPARABLE TO MEZE LIRIC (ABOUT $2,000).
Headfonics, another review + burning voting website, believes that the SIVGA LUAN has excellent wearing comfort, natural smooth images and pleasant high frequencies, but the bass response is still lacking. In addition, in the long article review, the website believes that the fidelity of the SIVGA LUAN surpasses some models such as the Senhai HD6XX series and the Philips X series.
IN TERMS OF OVERALL SCORES, THE CURRENT SIVGA LUAN WITH 8.8 POINTS IS HIGHER THAN THE ABIESS DIANA PHI, AUDEZE LCD-XC AND HIFIMAN HE1000 V2 WITH 8.7 POINTS, ON THE EQUAL WITH STAX 3030 CLASSIC SYSTEM AND MEZE LIRIC, AND LOWER THAN THE FINAL D8000 AND AUDIO-TECHNICA ADX5000 WITH 8.9 POINTS. Considering that the number of votes and points on the site will change slightly in the future, here I will only make a brief reference for news.
Judging from the recent score of the website's wired headphones, LUAN has an excellent level among the higher-end headphones, and it is a value-added model worth paying attention to within the price of 2,000 yuan in 2023.
SIVGA has two colors, one dark and one light. I myself prefer dark colors.
The style is as always, wooden earmuffs, aluminum frame. The physical appearance is relatively high, the touch is very good, and there is nothing that makes me feel awkward.
The earcups are open design, which is more conducive to the diffusion of sound than the conventional closed type, and the sound is more natural.
What is certain is that the combination of the natural sense and resolution of the "Luan" is better than these relatively cheap own models in the picture above. However, the specifics of listening to different types of music and whether it can be enjoyable are another matter. We'll get to that later.
In terms of hearing, if you have to find a template, it roughly has the meaning of some AKG headphones, very flat, rich in a stretchy aftertaste, and has a subtle gentle tone that hovers between cold and warm.
SIVGA has high permeability, moist and durable human voice, fast high-frequency response, attractive color, and reasonable brightness. However, the ELF dynamics were slightly less than expected, and it was later found that when lowered in the stronger ears, it would show a perfect shape.
The sound stage of "Luan" is very good, with a more obvious sense of vision (foreign media expressed as "depth of field"), especially when listening to LIVE works, you will find that it restores the depth of the concert hall very well, you can explore the distance of different vocals, and the aesthetic timbre of the gradual rise and disappearance of instrumental music.
Amazingly, its loud field does not pull away the vocals, but is controlled in a moderate area, achieving the coexistence of fullness and affection and cold air. At first I thought it had a fairly close vocal distance, but after a lot of comparison, I found it to be "moderate".
Like the last time we talked about hydrolysis 2-Ti, the experience of "Luan" was also completed with the family, accompanied by a lot of discussion, and the feeling of listening silently.
At the end of the article, there will be some of my collection of competing products for reference.
The appearance is generous and decent, relatively elegant, and there are no design defects and craftsmanship defects in sight. In addition, the manufacturer also comes with a large premium "hip" type leather storage bag.
Covered ears.
Non-foldable, not horizontally turned, the earphone cable reaches one meter five, which is longer. Home type.
It features a huge 50mm dynamic driver with nickel-plated overhang and an organic carbon fiber polymer dome diaphragm equipped with a large 24.5mm NdFeB magnet with a high magnetic energy level of 350kJ/m³
- Impedance: 38Ω.
- Bandwidth: 20Hz-40kHz.
- Weighs 354 grams.
- Sensitivity: 100dB/mW
Leather headband with a flexible touch, embossed with the brand's logo, large frame and earcup bracket in matte aluminum.
Side.
Medial.
The flexible "bone" allows it to cross in large X-shapes.
The ear cushions are large and have a slightly horn-like depth, similar to one of Grado, but the surface is a splicing of two materials to strive for comfort and ideal sound quality.
The inner space of the ear cushions is larger than that of some monitoring headphones, and the fingers are extremely soft to the touch when pressed, while the large cross-sectional area and flat surface layer further relieve the pressure on the ear (including the temple) area.
In summary, it has the same excellent comfort as the SV021, which was launched a few years ago, which can theoretically be "worn permanently". Unless "you are afraid of heat".
Foreign media headfonic believes that its wearing has reached a super comfortable level.
My own actual feeling is that the weight of the plover is quite light, and the overall comfort is indeed good, but the firmness is not particularly good, because the side that touches the skin is too flat, and there is less friction. Forehead...... This may be a bit nitpicking.
The plugs at both ends of the cable are 3.5mm in size, and unlike previous models, the connection cavity is 2.5mm. The new design may be designed to make it easier to adapt to third-party cables. However, the standard cable is good enough, and I feel that the need for an upgrade is minimal. Instead, consider switching the balance line.
Frequency response curve.
The feedback to the hearing is generally "natural", "high transparency", "reasonable line thickness", "wide sound field", and "relaxed but clear full-frequency response".
Simple contrast timbre with the Sony 7506: 7506 is "unnatural", "highly transparent", "thin", "unclear soundstage" and "tight and crisp full-range response"
The three frequencies of "Luan" are relatively balanced, highly inclusive of all kinds of music, and are more "omnivorous" headphones. It is not audible that there are obvious specified optimizations and beautification of certain frequencies. It is suitable for showing the "overall mood" of music. Does not specifically "focus" vocals or characterize low frequencies. Specifically, this will be discussed in detail later.
In fact, in the first few minutes of listening, the mid and low frequencies of this headset will have a certain collapse (too soft) feeling. After about two or three hours of cooking, I noticed that the sound was standing up and the lines were more stretched and charming.
Later, PK with competitors at the nearest price point was launched. to determine if it holds up at this price. (Of course it stands, otherwise I wouldn't be so fancy BB)
The easy push of the plover is good, and a slightly more reliable little tail with a larger thrust, an Apple device or a HIFI player can do.
In fact, almost all of these produced by SIVGA are easy to push. In particular, the SV series within a thousand yuan, like SV005, is simply better than some high-sensitivity in-ear headphones, which can be called the world-class sensitivity in headsets.
FOR A LONG TIME, I TOOK IPAD 9 TO EXPERIENCE IT, LISTENING TO MUSIC, WATCHING MOVIES OR PLAYING CHICKEN GAMES, WHICH WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. The last thing I expected was that its "shock" in the chicken eating game was so extraordinary that I didn't dare to turn the volume too high. Like I usually do in this game, the volume is almost always about 40%, but with SIVGA, 20% to 30% is fine. Otherwise, it is too easy to be "stimulated" or "frightened".
As for the reason, I think this comes from the sense of immersion created by its ultra-wide frequency domain (excellent frequency range above 10,000 hertz), and the "burst of sound" created by the high-density, large dynamic midrange.
Auxiliary reference models:
Sony MDR-CD3000 (unknown high price), MDR-MV1 (2600 yuan), MDR-7506 (799 yuan), HIFIMAN SUNDARA-C (1680 yuan), Senhai HD400 PRO (1100 yuan) and HD800S (unknown high price).
These headwear are basically what I like. But recently in daily use, I will pick up without thinking, only SIVGA Luan and Sony MDR-MV1.
Reason: The feeling of "calm and casual" at the moment when lifting it with one hand, the stability and comfort of wearing, and the resolution should be high enough and durable.
SIVGA and Sony MDR-MV1 seem to complement each other on some level:
MV1 is slightly muffled, low frequencies and vocals are intertwined, there is always a feeling of spreading over the waist, and it is not easy to have "empty inspiration"; The three-frequency junction image is relatively thin and evenly distributed, but the extremely low frequency is not easy to have a sense of explosion.
Due to the overtone, high separation, and strong overall dynamics, Luan's sense of hall (overlooking the overall situation) will be very good, and there will be a more relaxed performance for large-scale or large-scale works, in addition, the sense of low frequency is moderate, and the dive and rebound are clean, which makes its mid-lower and lower disc sound always refreshing.
The Sony MV1 sometimes resembles pop headphones with a thick sound, such as the MDR-AS800AP. MV1's low frequency and vocals are more prominent, and the image surface is larger, the thickness is good, and it is stronger than conventional "pop" headphones, it is dense, the treble is flexible and more natural. In short, except for the sense of low-frequency volume and the overall knot is a little weird, which may affect omnivorousness, there is no problem with the rest. It is worth mentioning that in the comparison of the "symphony", the reduction power and listening sense of SIVGA Luan are significantly better than MV1.
With the Shanling M9 PLUS (Big Ear Mode), listen to the same song:
The MDR-7506 is to feel the full amount of information up close, all subject details are magnified and brought closer to your eyes, and the sense of space is compressed to "lack of positioning". But the result is a highly cohesive, clear, bright, slightly noisy (and possibly enjoyable) sound.
After switching to MV1, the song information floats near the head in a relatively relaxed form, with more space and instrument positioning than the 7506, while the realism and fullness (thickness and density) of the vocals are significantly enhanced, and it is no longer the original simple slightly dry and slightly thinner lip and tooth sound. The high-frequency information has also evolved from the 7506, and the reverberating sound of the instrument is richer and more natural, and the sound is gorgeous.
Switching to SIVGA, the vocal distance is farther than the 7506 and MV1 used for monitoring, and the overall timbre is no longer dry, but more moist, and its distance was originally "close", but it was also compared for several rounds before changing the conclusion.
The instrumental accompaniment part has a clear feeling of "pulling up and down", and the sense of space and brightness are exhilarating. The extremely high frequency energy is sufficient, and the timbre is soft, and some works with more high musical instruments will be particularly "soul-destroying" to listen to.
Compared with its own SV023 of 2999 yuan, Luan is inferior in "density", and seems to be on a level line with the thousand-yuan SV021 and 7506. The good thing is that the layers are too clear, the full-range timbre is natural, not too hard, and not too rushed. And when there are many instrumental elements, it will have a more calm and relaxed temperament than the 7506 and MV1.
The overall quality (acoustics) of the 7506, MV1 and Luan is generally inferior to the CD3000, but because the CD3000 earmuffs are too large, they compress the temples when worn, and the low-frequency volume is not quite right, so usually, it is not the first thing I will consider wearing. But it has to be admitted that its "transients" (permeability, sound field) are still more powerful.
Once found that Luan and HD800S sound very similar, it is a relatively simple music arrangement, and then carefully PK, density and lateral space, HD800S is still better.
The Luan is about a notch better than the Senhai HD400PRO, and the resolution, treble, and brightness can all win. Originally, I always liked HD400PRO, it is clear, smooth, the sound stage is large enough, the musicality is also very good, and overall it is a classic of Senhai within 2000 yuan. However, after listening to "Luan", I sighed that HD400PRO and HD600 are almost the same level, and the resolution is indeed not comparable to waves of domestic upstarts.
In fact, the SIVGA Oriole (1399 yuan), which is lower than the Luan, was regarded as a serious leapfrog by foreign media because of its analysis explosion (I also recognize), and while continuing the high resolution characteristics of the Oriole, the Oriole also achieved the equipment, which is "versatile" than the Oriole, and the sound is more "natural", which makes me very satisfied.
