On June 28, Comrade Qi Chuanxuan went to Jinan to donate hematopoietic stem cells to bid farewell at the Rizhao Traffic Police Economic Development Area Brigade. Fei Rifa, secretary of the party group and executive vice president of the Red Cross Society of Rizhao City, Qin Yuwei, deputy secretary of the party committee and political commissar of the traffic police detachment of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and Song Ruijun, district leader attended the event.
Qi Chuanxuan, 35 years old this year, is an auxiliary police officer of the Rizhao Traffic Police Economic Development Area Brigade. When he participated in the voluntary blood donation in 2010, he decided to take an extra 10ml of blood sample and join the China Bone Marrow Bank. In November 2022, Qi Chuanxuan received a call from the staff of the Red Cross Society of the Economic Development Area and learned that his blood sample was successfully matched with a leukemia patient who had never made a living, and he immediately agreed to donate without hesitation and dedicated his love to the patient.
Qi Chuanxuan will go to Jinan from June 30 to July 6 for hematopoietic stem cell collection. After the successful donation, Qi Chuanxuan will become the third hematopoietic stem cell donation volunteer in Rizhao Economic Development Area.
Since joining the company in December 2006, Qi Chuanxuan has successively won awards from the brigade, detachment, and municipal bureau, as well as honors such as outstanding volunteer, outstanding individual, excellent auxiliary police officer and 2-star auxiliary police officer. Since 2006, the participating units have organized 9 free blood donations to the blood donation station, with a total blood donation volume of 3200CC.
"As a volunteer of the China Bone Marrow Bank, I didn't think about too many things, I only had one idea, as long as I could help the patient, I would do my best, especially hoping that through this donation, I would leave the patient with hope of survival, which is enough." Qi Chuanxuan said.
