The historical origins of the Piaget brand.

In 1874, Count Georg Edward started his career in the Swiss Jura Mountains, producing high-quality movements for the famous Swiss watch brand. Over the years, Piaget's watchmaking business grew and became a family business. Piaget is renowned and acclaimed for his craftsmanship.

In 1911, Timothee Piaget took over the family business and began a new phase of development. Under his leadership, the Piaget brand continued to expand its market and its popularity grew. In 1943, Piaget officially registered the brand and under the helm of Jayrod and Valentin Piaget, he expanded its territory around the world and showed a new look.

In 1956, Piaget introduced the famous 9P hand-wound ultra-thin mechanical movement. In 1960, Piaget watchmakers introduced the 12P calibre with a thickness of only 2.3 mm, making it the slimmest self-winding movement in the world. The introduction of these two movements inspired Piaget to create a number of exquisite and unique watches.

At the same time, Piaget devoted himself to the study of complex movements and developed the design of top-quality jewelry, from the design of wax models to the setting of precious stones.

In 1964, Piaget first launched a series of watches with a dial made of gemstones such as lapis lazuli, turquoise, black onyx, tiger's eye, etc., which amazed the watch world at that time. Subsequently, Piaget launched a cufflink watch that also attracted much attention and became a classic symbol of luxury watches.

In the spirit of keeping up with the times, Piaget introduced the 7P quartz movement, the smallest movement at the time, in 1976. Since then, bold creativity and unique expression have become Piaget's brand style. After a hundred years of development, Piaget Watch has made remarkable achievements. What makes Piaget most proud is that, even today, Piaget is one of the few brands in the world that has achieved the highest honor of "Integrated Manufacturer".

In other words, all production processes, from design research and development to manufacturing, are carried out by Piaget itself, and its masterpieces are rooted in the creative spirit for which Piaget is known, and are a powerful testament to its creator's motto: always do better than required.

Piaget's consumer groups include not only business magnates, film and television celebrities, but even politicians. President Reagan, Mrs. Kennedy, and others were big fans of the Earl's watch.
