Shortly after returning from the United States, Xie began adjusting training in early May, and then competed in a national track and field Grand Prix in Chongqing. In his first domestic competition, Xie Zhenye ran 10.05 seconds in the final to win the championship. After the game, he said that he had just returned to China and was still adjusting. Chen Guanfeng shined at the 2021 National Athletics Championships, where he ran a personal best of 10.06 seconds to win the gold medal, when Chen Guanfeng was considered the strongest post-00s sprinter. In the later stage, Chen Guanfeng participated in the relay of the 2022 World Championships in Athletics on behalf of the Chinese team and Su Bingtian, and also went to Europe to participate in sprinting and relay as a joint team, and got full experience.
According to the standard rules of this year's Budapest Athletics World Championships, if the athlete's performance exceeds the standard line of 10 seconds, he will directly obtain a ticket to the World Championships, otherwise he can only advance through the points ranking by participating in more than 5 events. Players ranked within 48 can qualify for the World Championships.
After the race, Xie Zhenye also apologized to track and field fans for not breaking through the 10-second performance.
