Undeterred, he collected his mood and studied poetry hard, but when he took the scientific examination for the second time, he still did not pass the exam.
Wei Zhuang was deeply shocked, the young man's full of blood and expectations, as if he was splashed with cold water, cold to the bottom of his heart, he wrote "The Lower Title Qinglong Temple Monk's Room" in disappointment:
A thousand hooves and a branch, to the road without a medium fruit self-injury.

The Huangchao uprising invaded Chang'an, the emperor fled west into Shu, and for a time the army was disturbed, Wei Zhuang was separated from his younger siblings due to the war, and he became seriously ill, and had to stay in Chang'an, until two years later, he was able to leave Chang'an and go to the relatively stable Luoyang.

"Neku burned into splendid ashes, and the Tianjie stepped on the bones of the gongqing." Write about the vicissitudes of the times; "The east, west, south and north roads are extinct, and the green poplars quietly disappear." Write about the hardships of the people; "The entrance is like a whirlwind, and the room is pouring out like a tumultuous earth." Write about the evil deeds of officials and troops robbing the people ...
The harm caused by the war to the people was shocking, and at this stage, Wei Zhuang successively wrote many poems related to the people's livelihood, and although he repeatedly fell behind, the courage to speak out, the ideals of worrying about the country and the people, and the ambitions of those who wanted to make meritorious achievements have never changed.
Luoyang was not a place to stay for long, and in 883, Wei Zhuang left Luoyang for Jiangnan, where he joined the town navy and served in his palace. In the following years, Wei Zhuang wandered to Yuezhou, Wuzhou, Bashu and other places, which were far from the fires of war, there was no smoke, the scenery was very beautiful, and the days of traveling around were not unpleasant, but he felt that he could not always wander like a drifting outside, so that he would never be able to display his talents.
During the journey, Wei Zhuang raised his eyes in the direction of Chang'an countless times, and in 892, he decided to go back.

Three: Even if you are ruthlessly abandoned, you cannot be ashamed
After high school, Wei Zhuang was awarded the position of school secretary by the imperial court, and was waiting to show his strength, but reality dealt him another heavy blow. Wei Zhuang sadly realized that with half a hundred hair, he had the courage to start all over again, but the Great Tang of the Western Mountains no longer had the position of a person with aspirants like him. Now that the eunuchs are in power, and the clan and town have troops and self-respect, they would rather promote sycophants who have a sycophant than Wei Zhuang, who really wants to do something for the Great Tang.
Wei Zhuang fell into a powerless dazedness, he looked around, but he saw chaos, it turned out to be too late after all, after all, it was too late. The Great Tang is a carriage running to the end, with loose wheels and a shaky body; It is a giant boat with an overloaded load, the hull of which has been corroded by seawater for many years, and has created gaps. And he, he sees through everything but is powerless to stop and cannot change, he is old, humble, and weak, so he cannot pull it back, he cannot be saved.
Wei Zhuang began to drink, sitting idly against a bottle of wine, drunk to relieve a thousand worries, or even more worried.

At this time, the emperor had lost the majesty to make his courtiers obey, and Wang Jian turned a deaf ear to the emperor's will, insisted on defeating Gu Yanhui and annexing the Dongchuan territory.
Wei Zhuang failed to complete the emperor's entrustment, and was about to return to Beijing in desperation, but was blocked by someone, and fixed his eyes on it, and the person who blocked the way was Wang Jian. Wang Jian witnessed what Wei Zhuang said and did during this trip, and he recognized Wei Zhuang's talent very much, hoping that Wei Zhuang would stay and use it for him.
Wei Zhuang did not immediately agree. He knew that the Great Tang was about to collapse, and he also knew that the person who replaced the Great Tang in the future should be Wang Jian and other warlords who had troops and occupied the land, but after thinking about it, he still refused. Wei Zhuang did not agree to Wang Jian at that time because he still had a glimmer of hope for the Tang Dynasty, and when the eunuchs staged a coup d'état in 900 AD to falsely spread the divine decree to the crown prince to ascend the throne, he was completely desperate, and the court was decayed and dim to this point, allowing the eunuchs to cover the sky with only one hand.
The following year, Wei Zhuang entered Shu and has been serving Wang Jian ever since.
After Wei Zhuang arrived in Shudi, he was trusted and used by Wang Jian, and his full talent was finally put to use. He stopped the county decree that bullied the people, advised Wang Jian to avoid internal war in Shudi, and every pile was for the well-being of the people, and with his assistance, Shudi became stronger day by day. In the year when Wei Zhuang was over the age of Huajia, he finally lived the life he longed for when he was a teenager.
Life seemed to be on track at this point, and he began to have spare energy and leisure to reminisce about his youthful days in between busy political affairs. He remembered that year in Jiangnan, where there was blue spring water, frost and snow, he listened to the pleasant sound of rain painting boats for many nights, lying quietly in the gentle embrace of Jiangnan water town to sleep, but sometimes it was difficult to sleep, Jiangnan is not a hometown, the fallen leaves return to their roots, and people are the same, in the end they still long to return to their homeland.
Looking back at this time, those touching joys and unspeakable sorrows have passed so many years.

In 907, Emperor Tang was forced to take the throne of Zhu Wen, and the Tang Dynasty, which had lasted for 289, officially declared its demise, and in the same year Wang Jian declared himself emperor and made Wei Zhuang prime minister. Wei Zhuang was an extremely powerful courtier, he was rewarded with great ambitions, grand plans, and worked diligently for Shudi until the end of his life.
Three years later, Wei Zhuang died in Chengdu.
