The singer is said to have refused to appear on Meghan's podcast, and the Duchess of Sussex has participated in the podcast with several guests, including Serena Williams, Paris Hilton, Jamila Jameel and Andy Cohen, who investigate, dissect and break labels or stereotypes that try to stop women from moving forward.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Meghan wrote a "private letter" to Taylor asking him to appear on her podcast, "but Taylor refused through a representative".

The news of Meghan's failed attempt to get Taylor on the show comes after Spotify and Sussex released a joint statement announcing their decision to part ways.

Meghan and Harry signed an exclusive deal worth $20 million (£16 million) with Spotify in late 2020 as they sought financial independence after leaving the royal family.

Megan hosts the podcast "Archetypes," which has aired 12 episodes since last August.

The joint statement said: "Spotify and Meghan Harry have jointly agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we have produced together. ”

After being terminated, a Spotify executive lashed out at Harry and Meghan, calling them "damn liars."

They are said to have faced new disappointment earlier this week when their trademark application for the term "Archetypes" was rejected.

Harry and Meghan have filed applications for exclusive rights to "Archetypes" (the name of their podcast), but the USPTO has refused.

Harry and Meghan filed an application to try to gain exclusive rights to "Archetypes" for "downloadable recordings and podcasts" and anything related to "the cultural treatment of women and the stereotypes women face."

However, officials rejected the application because of "possible confusion" with existing brands.

Meghan and Harry's lawyer, Megary Witte Norman, has now requested an additional three months to prepare another application.
