At the end of the 23Fall application season, the University of Hong Kong opened a new major, Master of Arts in the field of AI, Ethics and Society, which opened for enrollment on July 1st!

Judging from the information released by the current school, the new major is very different from the artificial intelligence that is super difficult to apply for in everyone's traditional cognition, and it can be said that it is a very good opportunity for students who want to complete 23Fall enrollment.

Project Introduction
The University of Hong Kong's new Fall 2023 admission programme is open for applications on 1 July

The Master of Arts in the Field of Artificial Intelligence, Ethics and Society (MA-AIES) is a one-year, full-time program specializing in the normative study of artificial intelligence and its related technologies, their impacts and trajectories.

Artificial Intelligence, Ethics and Society are interdisciplinary majors under the Faculty of Letters, and courses involve artificial intelligence, computer science, philosophy, social sciences, etc.

Through a rigorous curriculum that combines theoretical and practical approaches, students will gain insight into the ethical, social, and economic implications of AI. They will also learn how to apply this knowledge to a variety of settings, including policy making, business strategy, ethical design and the creative industries.

The program takes ethical, social and political questions as its starting point whether and how we can let AI and related technologies change our lives.

The program is designed to address these intellectual and practical challenges in two ways:

(i) demonstrate how these challenges can be understood within the framework of ethics, justice and social theory.

(ii) use these common frameworks to identify and address new ethical, social and economic challenges arising from the application of AI and emerging technologies in practice.
