On June 14, the Lingyun County People's Court held a public hearing of the drug trafficking case of defendant Gan.
The prosecuting authority alleged that from April to July 2021, the defendant Gan bought the drug heroin from others and resold it, selling it to local drug addicts and traffickers on a rural road in Jingxi City a total of 10 times, making an illegal profit of 1,219 yuan.
The prosecuting organ held that the defendant Gan still sold drugs knowing that it was drugs, the circumstances were serious, his conduct violated the fourth paragraph of article 347 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China, the facts of the crime were clear, the evidence was credible and sufficient, and he should be investigated for criminal responsibility for the crime of drug trafficking.
During the trial, the prosecution and defense, under the auspices of the court, fully expressed their opinions on the facts of the crime and the application of law in the case, and the procedural rights of all parties were fully guaranteed. The entire trial process was serious, compact, standardized and orderly. After the trial, the collegial panel will further deliberate and the case will be pronounced at a later date.
