On June 14, 2023, local time, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, animal keepers in Hallberstadt hold an alpaca to prepare for shearing. Alpacas at Terry were sheared. Every year, these animals must be freed from their hair. Over the course of a year, alpacas' fur grows quite long, and in summer, the animals sweat. It takes 20 minutes for Stephanie Cowshus to cut hair once, and further processing is required. Alpaca wool is of high quality.
