On June 14, Beijing time, Wimbledon officially announced the distribution of prize money for the 2023 event. This year's total Wimbledon prize money reached a record high of £44.7 million. This represents an increase of 11.2% compared to FY2022 and an increase of 17.1% compared to 2019, before the pandemic.

Wimbledon, like the other three Grand Slam tournaments, is also committed to increasing prize money for those who have gone out of previous rounds. This year's total qualifying prize money increased by 14.5% compared to last year, and a singles qualifying round was awarded £12,750, an increase of 15.9%. Reaching the second round of qualifying earns £21,750, up 14.5% from last year. The qualifying tiebreaker prize was £36,000, an increase of 12.5%.

Players in the first round of singles can receive £55,000 in prize money, an increase of 10.0% over last year and an increase of 22.2% compared to 2019. From the second round onwards, the prize money is: 85,000 pounds, 131,000 pounds, 207,000 pounds, 340,000 pounds, 600,000 pounds, the men's and women's singles runners-up can get 1.175 million pounds, and the championship prize money is up to 2.35 million pounds.

The doubles prize pool is up 10.7% from last year, with the doubles winner receiving £600,000, an 11.1% increase over last year. In the just-concluded French Open women's doubles competition, Chinese little flower Wang Xinyu won the championship, and she shared 590,000 euros in prize money with Xie Shuwei. By comparison, Wimbledon doubles titles are nearly £100,000 more than the French Open.
