In order to effectively do a good job in safety and stability before and after the Dragon Boat Festival, on the evening of June 6, Li Hu, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and mayor of Nanhedian Town, Nanzhao County, Nanyang City, organized more than 10 people, including full-time fire brigades, central schools and village (community) leaders, to carry out fire safety night inspections of crowded places such as childcare institutions, supermarkets, and high-rise residential areas in their jurisdiction.
The inspectors carried out an all-round inspection of whether the fire fighting facilities, fire extinguishing equipment, etc. were complete, intact and effective, whether the safety evacuation instruction signs were plugged in and useful, whether the fire passage was unblocked, whether there were illegal parking or charging of electric bicycles in high-rise residences, the unauthorized connection of wires and lines, and the illegal use of open flames.
In view of the fire hazards found in the inspection, the inspectors pointed out one by one on the spot, and instructed the person in charge of the place to improve their ideological understanding, implement the rectification of hidden dangers, improve system management, do a good job in daily inspections, eliminate all kinds of potential safety hazards in time, and strictly prevent the occurrence of fire accidents.
In the past year, Nanhedian Town has closely followed the safety development concept of "people first, life first", regarded personnel-intensive business sites as the top priority of fire safety inspection, insisted on carrying out fire safety "daily and night inspection" actions every week, inspected more than 1,500 places of various types, investigated 85 hidden problems, rectified 69 places on the spot, ordered 16 rectifications within a time limit, issued 13 notices of suspension and rectification to units with greater safety risks, and guided relevant business units to carry out fire prevention skills training 12 times and emergency evacuation drills 3 times.
In the next step, Nanhedian Town will continue to pay close attention to key places, increase supervision and inspection, urge all kinds of key places to strengthen protection, ensure that the hidden dangers detected are rectified and corrected, further tighten and compact fire protection responsibilities, comprehensively prevent and resolve fire safety risks, and ensure the stability of the fire safety situation in the jurisdiction.
