Dou Guangguo followed the main family to Chang'an and Chang'an heard that the new empress's surname was Dou and was a Jinguan person, so he knew that the empress was his sister. So he wrote to the empress on current affairs, saying that when she was a child, her sister had asked for juice to wash her hair before leaving home, and she wanted food for herself, and then left with peace of mind. Empress Dou wept bitterly after hearing this, and Emperor Wen was moved, rewarding Dou Guangguo with a lot of property, fields and houses, and later rewarding the Dou brothers, who were the same ancestors as Empress Dou, to let them move to Chang'an.
3. Prefer younger sons
Empress Dowager Dou doted very much on her youngest son, Liu Wu the Prince of Liang, and gave him countless gifts. King Liang was favored, and the country reached more than forty counties, and the specifications of travel were more than that of the Son of Heaven, and the treasure wealth was more than that of Jingshi.
4. The eldest son made the crown prince emperor
A few months after Emperor Wen of Han became a few months, he wrote to ask for the crown prince. At this time, all four sons born to Queen Xian fell ill and died. After some discussion, some divisions believed that Liu Qichun, the son of Dou Ji, was generous and benevolent and could be made crown prince. Emperor Wen gave permission, and in the first month of the first year (179 BC) (before the Han Dynasty changed the calendar of Emperor Wudi of Han), he made Liu Qi crown prince.
