East to Japan?
So did Yang Guifei really travel east to Japan? Let's see what the history books say.
According to the official history, Yang Guifei was hastily buried on the side of the road with a sachet. After the Anshi Rebellion was calmed down, Tang Minghuang secretly sent people over to rebury and bury them decently. The sent man came back and wrote a report. There are two kinds of records in the history books. In the Old Book of Tang, it is said: "The skin is broken, but the sachet is still there", but in the New Book of Tang, it is only said: "The sachet is still there". I didn't mention how people were. This is a reverie.
Let's first talk about why there are two Tang books, old and new. Everyone knows that feudal dynasties are generally history books of later dynasties and former dynasties. The Old Book of Tang was written during the Later Jin Dynasty of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms after the Tang Dynasty. The Later Jin dynasty was relatively short-lived, and the country was always in turmoil. Therefore, the history of the previous dynasty is not so seriously written, and the "Old Book of Tang" was rushed into a book in only four years, and it was written a bit sloppily.
When he arrived at the Great Song Dynasty, Song Renzong was dissatisfied, saying that this history was written without literary brilliance, without historical facts, without rules, and ordered to rewrite it. "Ji Ji cannot, the details are slightly lost, the literary style is unclear, and the facts are scattered." Therefore, later generations generally considered the New Book of Tang to be a little more reliable than the Old Book of Tang. So why is there no mention of whether Yang Guifei is still in the tomb in the New Book of Tang? Is there something hidden behind it?
And this historical material, plus Bai Juyi's famous "Long Hate Song" in the sentence "In the dirt under the slope of Ma Wei, there is no place for the empty death of Yuyan", and the latter "I suddenly heard that there is a fairy mountain on the sea... Among them are many fairies. There is a character that is too true, and the snow-skinned flower appearance is "This has become the strongest evidence for Yang Guifei's statement that she traveled east to Japan." Yang Guifei used to become a monk before entering the palace, and Taizhen was the legal number she used back then. The poem says that Yang Guifei was a fairy in the Sea Immortal Mountain. This fairy mountain on the sea won't be the Japan known as Toei, right?
In this way, as soon as it came and went, the saying that Yang Guifei went to Japan began to become popular. But soon some people jumped out and said, poetry, literary creation, there is exaggeration, there is imagination, can not be used as history. At that time, the general who killed Yang Guozhong and demanded the death of Yang Guifei was Chen Xuanli, a general who had taken Jiangshan back from Wu Zetian with Emperor Xuanzong. People are not so easy to deceive.
Neon feather coat
Soon someone proposed a solution, moving out of the Taoist saying of "escaping from robbery and soaring". Our Great China has a very different feature from other ancient civilizations, that is, it is more tolerant in faith. Local Taoism and Western Buddhism are not mutually exclusive. Shakyamuni and Lao Tzu can believe in anyone. At that time, Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei preferred Taoism. The ancient famous song "Neon Clothes Plume Song" composed by Emperor Xuanzong was played when Laozi was sacrificed in the Taiqing Palace.
This piece is said to be a fairy music obtained by Emperor Xuanzong when he dreamed in the Moon Palace. Emperor Xuanzong saw the beautiful fairy in the Moon Palace and kept thinking about it, and later saw Yang Yuhuan and was shocked. When Yang Yuhuan first met in Huaqingchi, Emperor Xuanzong ordered someone to play his favorite "Neon Clothes Plume Song" to receive it. Later, Emperor Xuanzong customized a neon dress feather dance for Yang Guifei. And Yang Guifei, that is also a talented dancer, dancing is really a fairy down to the mortal world. Let's take a look at how the great poet Li Bai described the beauty of Yang Guifei:
Yun wants to wear clothes and flowers, and the spring breeze blows Revlon.
If it weren't for the jade mountain, he would meet Yaotai Yue.
The poem says that when you see a cloud, you think of her gorgeous clothes, and when you see flowers, you think of her gorgeous appearance and the beauty of a noble concubine, like peonies with dew under the spring breeze by the agarwood pavilion. If it weren't for the fluttering fairy that could only be seen on the Jade Immortal Mountain, it must be a goddess immortal that could only be met under the Yaotai moon.
This poem was summoned by Emperor Xuanzong by Emperor Xuanzong to write it in front of Yang Guifei when Li Bai was a Hanlin. Li Bai's talent and the beauty of the concubine are all in it. Emperor Xuanzong is even more fond of his talented wife, and he wants to give anything. Unfortunately, this also laid the groundwork for the subsequent disaster.
Then again, because both of them believe in Taoism, Yang Guifei is a fairy-like figure, and she is also a monk and a Taoist aunt, so some people say, will Yang Guifei "escape from calamity and ascend"?
