2023 is a key year to drive the transformation of the western part of Beijing. Focus on seven major aspects, including the renewal and transformation of Shougang's old industrial zone and the construction of "first-line four mines", and arrange 57 key tasks
According to the relevant person in charge of the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the "Work Points" released this time firmly grasps the strategic positioning of the capital city and the characteristics of the transformation and development stages of the western part of Beijing, and refines and forms the "three lists" of key tasks, major projects and important activities to ensure the achievement of the main annual goals.
In the list of key tasks, 57 key tasks have been arranged in seven aspects, including strengthening ecological protection and utilization, continuously improving the quality of urban functions, promoting the renewal and transformation of the old industrial zone of Shougang, accelerating the construction of "first-line four mines", making refined and excellent industrial clusters with characteristics, enhancing the vitality of regional transformation and development, and deepening policy and mechanism innovation, an increase of 21 over 2022.
In the list of major projects and projects in the early stage, 85 major projects have been sorted out, of which 46 have been continued and 39 are planned to start new construction, and all 11 projects planned to start in the first quarter of this year have been started.
According to incomplete statistics, 47 important events are expected to be organized throughout the year, mainly in Shougang Park.
From the ecological perspective of building a "beautiful western Beijing", this year, the western part of Beijing will implement the restoration project of abandoned mines, strengthen biodiversity protection, clarify the planning and restoration plan of the "wildlife habitat corridor", strengthen the comprehensive treatment and ecological restoration of the Yongding River, complete the environmental improvement and improvement project of the western extension of the People's Canal, and promote the connection of the Shougang water system with the Yongding River Basin; Do a good job in linear space greening and landscape optimization such as the west extension of Chang'an Avenue and the S1 line, accelerate the construction of projects such as the upgrading of supporting facilities along the Xishan Greenway and the West Beijing Ancient Road, and complete the improvement of the space environment under 25 bridges; Promote the construction of infrastructure construction projects in the Yuhe Valley Scenic Area of the Tourism and Leisure Corridor around Beijing, and the Dacun Mountain Sports and Leisure Tourism Base in Yanyi Town.

It has completed the National Highway 109 New Line Expressway and 5 urban secondary trunk roads in the southeast district, orderly promoted the construction of the Apple Park Comprehensive Transportation Hub, 3 urban secondary trunk roads and 10 urban branch roads in Shougang North District, and started the construction of Shijingshan section of the sub-center line of the suburban railway city, Qingshui Comprehensive Checkpoint, Yinsheng Road and other projects.

In addition, the western region of Beijing will also promote the construction of "a quarter of an hour convenient living circle", build and cultivate no less than 10 convenient living circles throughout the year, carry out comprehensive environmental improvement of 32 old communities such as Jinding Street District 4 and Yongxin Community, accelerate the transformation of a number of shantytowns such as Huangzhuang Village, and continue to improve the living environment. On the one hand, the western region of Beijing will build a new landmark of urban rejuvenation "together towards the future", coordinate to promote the space construction and industrial development of Shougang Park, and accelerate the construction of key projects such as the Jardine Project of Shougang Park and the R&D Center of Huaxia Bank West. On the other hand, Shijingshan will take Shougang Park as the core and Internet 3.0 as the focus, deeply cultivate virtual/augmented reality, industrial Internet and other characteristic fields, build CETC (Beijing) Intelligent Science and Technology Park, and accelerate the construction of Beijing Banking and Insurance Industrial Park, Industrial Internet Industrial Park, Virtual Reality Industrial Park and other characteristic parks.
