What surprised me the most was not how exciting this price was, but how has this car not been replaced for more than ten years?!
What about 500,000 Geberit?
Not a used car, not a damaged car, a brand new commodity car.
Now, Geberit 2022 2.0T GT Blade Edition, there is indeed a part of the car source, the second network can achieve more than 500,000 naked cars, and the minimum 60 small landing. Because these cars are all National VI A, some are still 21 years old, the sale has been banned since July 1, and now it is completely hot, and 4S stores have long begun to sell 23 models.
The 2022 2.0T GT Sharp Edition, the official guidance price is 795,800, which is comparable to a comminuted fracture. There is a problem with the environment, this year's super hao can not be sold, there are also reasons for the current special time, Porsche last year when dealing with inventory, there was also a broken Macan, not to mention that these cars will rot in the hands after a month, and then can not be sold can only be sold first as a quasi-new car.
However, this is more of its own problem, why are all 23 models coming, and 22 have not been sold? A car that left the factory in 21 years, but it has not been sold in 23 years? Even this is not only a problem of Geberit a car, Grega is listed at a discount of 100,000 a year, Levante sales are only one-tenth of Cayenne, president... Does Martha have this car? The rest of the MC20 and the brand new GT, I have ten thousand reasons why you shouldn't buy it, that's the problem with the entire Maserati brand.
Is this car worth going to the bottom?
But as long as the price is in place, the glass can take you to dry and break, I don't know if there are any hearts here? 1 million Geberit full of earthy flavor, 500,000 Geberit luxury sports? The small problems are really as many as said on the Internet, and the workmanship is really as garbage as the legend? Can't you go to the bottom and make a million-dollar super dream?
I still don't think it's worth it for several reasons:
1. The model is too old
This generation of Geberit debuted in China at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show, and then officially launched at the Guangzhou Auto Show in the same year. Until 2020, the mid-term facelift was released, and a new 2.0T with a 48V mild hybrid was added, although the horsepower has not changed much, and the starting price has also dropped sharply, but for this kind of selling car, it is soulless. The rest of the changes are minimal, some perfunctory, or inadequate.
The chassis of this car is also very old, it is Maserati's shortened M157 chassis, and the president's M156 chassis is similar to Chrysler 300C's LX chassis, Chrysler 300C's LX chassis, and the 80s Mercedes-Benz E-class chassis. So, there is a saying that Geberit is a Chrysler 300C shell.
2. The retention rate is too low
Geberit only recommends the 3.0T version, although the 3.0T version is also very discounted, but the naked car is also about 750,000, but now the 2020 second-hand only about 500,000, and the shape is no different from the current model. The lower the price, and even if you are lucky, you can win the earliest 2014 model for 200,000. The essence of Maserati lies in the sound, its acceleration is not fast at this price point, and the 3.0T Geberit of the National 5 is the sound of nature. So how to look, spending more than 500,000 to buy a 2.0T new car is not the best choice now.
3. High after-sales price
Spend more than 500,000 to buy a 2.0T new car, with an annual insurance of more than 10,000 yuan, and a small maintenance of 4S shops of about 3,000 yuan. As long as you return to Maserati's 4S shop again, no matter how much you spend on the car, the service will be charged according to the million-level and super luxury.
4. There are many problems with poor workmanship
This is a consensus, but that is according to the million-level standard, 500,000 I think is acceptable. But this is definitely not a car that is worry-free in the later stage, and this aspect mainly depends on the face, so I will not say more.
How glorious is Maserati's history?
Although the current Geberit is very embarrassing, it does not affect Maserati's brand is still hard, in fact, its ups and downs are far greater than the glory...
Founded in 1914, it is truly a century of luxury, starting with modification and racing, not building civilian cars in the early days, to put it bluntly, building cars is all based on a dream. Maserati's volume is not large to this day, the engine cannot be built and used Ferrari, and many of the designs are also third-party outsourced, such as Broadcom, Pininfarina, and Giorgiaro in Italy. Over the centuries, countless masters have changed, the Oss family, Citroen, Tommaso, Benelli, Fiat... IT NOW BELONGS TO THE STELLANTIS GROUP, WHICH MERGED THE PSA GROUP AND FIAT CHRYSLER GROUP.
Maserati is not a one-person name, but the surname of a family with six brothers who together founded Martha. The process can basically apply the inspirational template of European super rich entrepreneurship, born ordinary, hard work, unwelcomed, angry entrepreneurship, brotherly partnership, thousands of hardships, fighting in the arena, experiencing war, brilliant achievements...
Of the several brothers, the eldest was the first to die, and it is said that the cause was tuberculosis, which was considered an incurable disease at the time. Later, before World War II, the remaining brothers had a bad premonition, because they were going to fight, so they simply sold Martha in one go, but the brothers still kept their jobs inside. But later, because of the war, the company basically suspended car building.
And today's protagonist, Geberit, has nothing to do with the Martha brothers. Because after the Second World War, there were no more Maserati family members in the Maserati company, and the brothers originally founded a racing company, which also closed down in the 60s.
5000GT
After World War II, Maserati began to resume production of racing cars, competing with Alfa Romeo and Ferrari at that time, and gave birth to a series of racing legends. But in the 50s, due to a serious accident in a local race, it is said that more than a dozen drivers and spectators died at that time, Maserati decided to withdraw from the racing field and switch to the production of civilian sports cars. With the birth of the classic 3500GT and 5000GT, known as the most beautiful coupe, Martha has officially become the top GT sports car manufacturer.
In the 60s, Martha's first four-door sedan came out, which is the current president, but the president is expensive and not profitable, so the first generation of Geberit was born, I think according to this original intention, this car should be called vice president.
The first generation of Geberit
Geberit takes its name from the seasonal hot cyclone in the Sahara, and Maserati hopes it will sweep the market like a whirlwind, rather than cutting prices like a whirlwind now. Unlike today's Geberit, the first generation of Geberit was a coupe and was helmed by Georgiaro, the century master of automotive design. 4.7L V8 engine, up to 340 hp, top speed of 248 per hour. Until production was discontinued in the 70s, the first generation of Geberit sold a total of 1275 units.
Second generation Geberit
Later, due to the oil crisis, Martha, which specializes in high performance, did not operate well, and even the president was turned into a front-drive car by the parent company Citroen at the time. It changed hands until the 90s, around the same time as Fiat's acquisition of Maserati, that the second generation of Geberit returned. But the second generation of Geberit has nothing to do with the first generation, in essence, it is a low-positioning volumetric model, you look at its appearance, like a Volkswagen old Jetta, and then look at its engine, what the hell is 2.0T, 2.8T? It was produced for a total of 5 years and sold more than 2,000 units.
Finally, it is the third generation of Geberit, and it has experienced a long interruption, until 2013 to hold it out, this time it became a four-door sedan, and Chrysler 300C has an unspeakable and unclear relationship, the former American Accord, it is the Italian Accord, and has been sold until now... As for the next generation, there are several statements, one is completely gone, the other is to make an electric car, and the third is to shrink the president to replace Geberit.
Is the current Maserati really not working?
After all, Maserati is a small brand that looks at the face, and Ferrari almost killed the brand by cutting off the engine supply in the first two years. Where did Geberit 2.0T come from now? Does it feel a lot like Alfa Romeo's? Fiat is said to have developed it based on Chrysler technology.
Don't hook Ferrari and Maserati together, it's a misunderstanding, even if it once belonged to the Fiat Group, but Ferrari operates independently, it can not listen to Fiat, or even be an equal, while Maserati cannot.
Fifth generation president
Even for a while, Fiat didn't want Maserati and forced Ferrari to take Maserati, but achieved a highlight moment. For example, the fifth-generation president in charge of Ferrari, that is, the previous generation, is very trench and once became the favorite of the bigwigs in the north in about a few years.

The most unfortunate thing is that Maserati is favored by micro-businessmen. Even if 10 of the 100 "Xi Ti Masha" micro merchants are really mentioned, the sales of this brand will not be as miserable as today, by the way, the micro business also makes this brand bear a variety of negative labels, if the micro business was favored by the Porsche back then, it is estimated that today's end is no better.
In 2017, Maserati sold nearly 15,000 units in China, but only a third remained in 2022, while Porsche sold more than 70,000 units in 2017 and more than 90,000 units in 2022. No one talks about Maserati anymore, TikTok shows off wealth and disdains to use Maserati, even ordinary people can't dream of Maserati anymore...
