The Anshi Rebellion was a famous rebellion in Chinese history, and the process and outcome were well known to everyone, but An Lushan launched a rebellion under the pretext of attacking Yang Guozhong.
Tang Xuanzong used Yang Guozhong very much, so why did An Lushan use the excuse of crusading against Yang Guozhong? There are two reasons for this.
1. Compete for favors
An Lushan and Yang Guozhong competed for favor, which led to a conflict between the two of them, which laid the groundwork for An Lushan to launch a rebellion under the pretext of crusading against Yang Guozhong.
An Lushan was favored earlier than Yang Guozhong, and Yang Guozhong was favored by Yang Guifei, and he was not reused by his own skills.
Yang Guozhong became the prime minister, and An Lushan was not able to serve as prime minister because he did not know Chinese characters, which made An Lushan very unconvinced with Yang Guozhong.
An Lushan looked down on Yang Guozhong very much because of this, which made Yang Guozhong very angry, and the contradiction between the two was formed, and finally the contradiction between the two became more and more intense.
2. Fight for power
The source of the conflict between the two is still to fight for power. Although Yang Guozhong is the prime minister, he has no military power, and An Lushan is a temperate envoy and has military power, so Yang Guozhong always told Tang Xuanzong that An Lushan would rebel, which made An Lushan hate Yang Guozhong very much.
An Lushan's idea was guessed by Yang Guozhong, so An Lushan and Yang Guozhong began to fight for power. Yang Guozhong wanted to be autocratic, so he rejected dissidents, and An Lushan also wanted to seize power, so he curried favor with Tang Xuanzong and gained Tang Xuanzong's trust.
Although Tang Xuanzong knew about the fight between the two of them, he did not interfere in this matter, which made An Lushan also very dissatisfied, so he raised troops in the name of fighting Yang Guozhong.
If An Lushan wanted to become emperor, he had to overthrow Tang Xuanzong, but Tang Xuanzong trusted him very much, so An Lushan had no reason to raise troops. After Yang Guozhong became prime minister, he gave An Lushan a reason to raise troops.
Although An Lushan could not look at Yang Guozhong, An Lushan could use Yang Guozhong to attack Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, so Yang Guozhong became the fuse of the Anshi Rebellion.
We can summarize the experience of modern management from the history of "Yang Guozhong was used by An Lushan": in modern company management, the company's senior management must attach importance to and solve the contradictions between employees, and cannot let them develop, otherwise it will harm the company.
