Real Madrid announce the departure of 35-year-old Benzema! Playing for 14 years to win 25 titles, receiving 100 million annual salary to Saudi Arabia?

On the evening of June 4, Beijing time, La Liga giants Real Madrid announced that 35-year-old striker Benzema left the team after his contract expired this summer, officially ending Real Madrid's 14-year white-clothed career.

It is reported that after Benzema leaves Real Madrid, he will most likely join Saudi team Jeddah United. The champions of this season's Saudi Premier League have already made an offer for Benzema that he will find hard to refuse, signing a lucrative two-year contract with an annual salary of more than 100 million euros after tax.

Benzema, born in 1987, moved to Real Madrid from Ligue 1 side Lyon for a transfer fee of 35 million euros in July 2009. In his 14 years at Real Madrid, Benzema made 647 appearances for the team, contributing 353 goals and providing 165 assists.

Benzema has helped Real Madrid win a total of 5 Champions Leagues, 4 La Liga, 3 Copa del Rey, 4 Spanish Super Cups, 5 Club World Cups and 4 UEFA Super Cups, for a total of 25 trophies.

In terms of personal honours, Benzema won the 2022 Ballon d'Or for his outstanding performance at Real Madrid, in addition to being awarded four French Footballer of the Year, one European Player of the Year, one Champions League Golden Boot, one La Liga Golden Boot and two La Liga MVP. If Benzema chooses to join Jeddah United, he will be expected to face former Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi League. Coupled with Messi, who is likely to join Riyadh Crescent, the three current Golden Ball gentlemen may all play in the Saudi league next season.
