IT House News on May 31, Microsoft released a Dev Home developer preview app for Windows 11 developers, including several new widgets for Windows 11.

You can use the new widgets to monitor processor utilization and speed, memory usage, GPU temperature and usage, as well as Wi-Fi and network speed, and much more.

Although the Dev Home app is software for developers, it is available to all Windows 11 users.

Dev Home is currently in preview, but you can download it for free from the Microsoft Store without installing the Dev system. In addition to the widgets mentioned above, Dev Home provides additional features and performance improvements for app developers. If you have a try, you can follow the steps below in IT House:

  • Head over to the Microsoft Store and download the Dev Home Preview app, or get it from GitHub.
  • Press Win + W to open the Windows widget. You will be notified that a new widget is available, click Add.

  • You can also click the "+" button and select a widget. The current Dev Home mainly provides the following widgets: CPU, GPU, RAM, networking, SSH, and GitHub tools.
  • Once added, now you can monitor the performance of your system via Win + W or by clicking the widget button on the taskbar.

It is worth mentioning that these widgets now seem to have some stability issues, and even some users have reported that the CPU and GPU utilization cannot be displayed correctly before the PC restarts, but it runs well after the restart, and I hope everyone can have a pleasant experience.
