In his speech, Liu Jun said that in March this year, city university of Macau successfully held a series of activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the university; then, it established institutions such as the Chinese Cultural Research Institute of Macau, the Chahar Center of the City University of Macau, the International Training and Testing Center, etc.; held more than 80 large-scale academic activities to build a platform for students' growth; and more than 1,600 students graduated and became talents and joined the society.

In order to ensure the smooth progress of the first day of the class, Liu Jun and other leaders went to the Taipa Campus and the Golden Dragon Campus to inspect the classrooms to understand the teaching situation of the teachers. At the same time, they visited the teachers in various colleges, talked with the teachers, inquired in detail about the preparations for the opening of the school, and encouraged them to lead by example in the new academic year and lead the students to climb the academic peak.
On the first day of school, strict health and epidemic prevention measures were implemented on the campus of The City University, including the measurement of the body temperature of the students at each entrance and exit; the disinfection of equipment such as stair handrails, elevator buttons, entrance and exit carpets every hour; strengthening the management of garbage classification, timely collection and transportation; and strictly regulating the hygiene management of campus restaurants.
