The so-called magic novel is nothing more than an imagination, which is essentially something derived from the real society, and in China, this phenomenon is essentially unable to escape the traditional ruling structure.
The Jade Emperor is actually the emperor, and the Heavenly Court is also an upgraded version of the imaginary imperial palace, and in the history of China, the imperial power has always been a monopoly, and no force can be shaken, especially in Buddhism, it is impossible to compete with the imperial power.
In history, there are three martial arts and one sect to destroy the Buddha, this kind of direct elimination movement, the imperial power directly showed a muscle, but the most able to reflect the imperial power on Buddhism is actually a very famous emperor in history who believes in Buddhism, he is the Liangwu Emperor Xiao Yan.

But it was such an emperor who was not good at Buddhism, but he fundamentally changed Chinese Buddhism, that is, starting with him, forbidding monks to eat meat.
This is a very obvious signal that the emperor can change the daily rules of the monks, and from then on, the monks really stop eating meat and can justify themselves.
It is really inconceivable that a person who does not know much about Buddhism will eventually completely change Buddhism, and in fact this change and influence from the depths of the soul is the best example of the suppression of Buddhism by the imperial power.
