The first week of the 2023 Women's World Volleyball League will be played from May 30 to June 4. The first week of the tournament was held in Ankara, Turkey, with teams from Turkey, Italy, the United States, Serbia, Thailand, Poland, South Korea and Canada. The second group (P2) was played in Nagoya, Japan, with teams from Japan, China, Brazil, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Dominica, Croatia and Germany.
So far, in addition to Turkey, South Korea and Japan, 13 other teams have officially announced the 14-man roster for the first week of the tournament. Italy, the United States, Serbia, Brazil and other teams have a number of famous players temporarily absent from the World League for some reason.
