Located in Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province, in the Qaidam Basin of Qinghai Province, the Oboliang Yadan landform has a Yadan landform formed 75 million years ago, with a total area of about 21,500 square kilometers, which is the largest wind erosion forest group found in China so far, and one of the largest and most typical Yadan landscapes in the world. It is understood that the formation of the Oboliang Yadan landform group stems from the uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the continuous wind erosion after the ancient seabed dried up. The Obolyn Yadan landform group often generates a mysterious wind sound due to the peculiar terrain, coupled with the fact that the local rocks are rich in iron and the geomagnetism is strong, which is easy to make the compass fail, resulting in pedestrians unable to distinguish the direction and get lost, and is known as "Devil's City" by the world, also known as "the most Mars-like place on Earth".

On the mountain beams of the Oboliang Yadan landform group, there are various forms of Yadan landscape such as turtle back shape, groove ridge type, round hill type, column type, etc., forming a natural Yadan "art museum".
