The main reason for Samsung to lower the price of Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 mobile phones is that the cost of application processors (APs) has fallen by 20%, and APs account for 10%-20% of the total cost of mobile phones.
The average price of a high-end smartphone AP is around $80, while the AP used by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 costs $140.
IT Home inquired about the news, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 mobile phone 256GB model is priced at 1998700 won (currently about 10653 yuan), 512GB is priced at 2097700 won (currently about 11181 yuan). If it is lowered by 100,000 won, the starting price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be 1,898,700 won (currently about 10,120 yuan).
Samsung's 256GB model Galaxy Z Flip 4 is priced at 1,299,000 won (currently about 6,924 yuan), and after the reduction, it will cost 1,199,000 won (currently about 6,391 yuan).
