1. Beijing launched the General Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Partnership Program
On May 19, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, together with the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, jointly launched the "Beijing General Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Partnership Program", released the first batch of 39 member units, and began to solicit the second batch of partners to promote the development and application of artificial intelligence models and empower the digital and intelligent transformation of thousands of industries.
According to the partnership program, partners are divided into five categories: computing power partners, data partners, model partners, application partners, and investment partners. According to reports, the first batch of partner members has a total of 39 partners, including 2 computing partners such as Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd. and Beijing Super Cloud Computing Center, 9 data partners such as Beijing Big Data Center and Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, 7 model partners such as Beijing Baidu Netcom Technology Co., Ltd. and Alibaba DAMO Academy (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., 13 application partners such as Beijing Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Service Center and Haidian City Brain, as well as IDG Capital Investment Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd. 2. AI image editing technology DragGAN came out
Researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Computer Science, MIT CSAIL, and Google have studied a new technique for controlling GANs (generative adversarial networks), DragGAN, and the paper "Drag Your GAN: Interactive Point-based Manipulation on the Generative Image Manifold" was published May 18 in arXiv.
This technology allows users to interactively drag any point of an image to exactly the target point. Users can interactively and precisely drag any point in the image to change the pose, shape, and layout in the image without losing realism. For example, by clicking on the puppy's ear, the user can change the shape, size, height and so on of the ear. The exact timing of the launch of the technology has not yet been announced.

3. AIGC searches for closed products of startups
AI search company Neeva announced on May 21 that it will shut down its C-end search product. The company was founded in early 2022 and pioneered a search engine for AI-generated answers earlier this year. However, at present, due to difficulties in obtaining customers, the company cannot continue to maintain the C-end search business. Neeva will then move to the enterprise market.

On May 19, at the World Intelligent Technology Innovation Cooperation Summit, the National Supercomputing Tianjin Center released the "Tianhe E-level Intelligent Computing Open Innovation Platform" and "Tianhe Tianyuan Model" based on domestic Tianhe super computing power and intelligent computing power.
It is understood that the "Tianhe E-level Intelligent Computing Open Innovation Platform" will bring more than 10 billion times of cross-modal supercomputing power, support traditional scientific engineering computing, and serve intelligent hybrid computing, creating a comprehensive computing power empowerment innovation and high-quality development carrier of the digital economy.
Currently, datasets for Chinese large language models are scarce. The National Supercomputing Center Tianjin collected and sorted out web page data, various open source training data, Chinese novel data, ancient text data, encyclopedia data, news data, as well as various data sets such as traditional Chinese medicine, medicine, consultation, and law in professional fields, and trained and created its own Chinese language model - "Tianhe Tianyuan Model", and on this basis, it started in-depth training for professional models in medical, industrial, legal and other fields. In the future, the big model will become the foundation of industrial intelligence under the support of the deep learning platform.
5. WeChat Pay released the "WeChat Brush" product

7. Japan Physical and Chemical Research Institute and Intel carry out AI cooperation
According to the official website of RIKEN, Japan's Institute of Physical and Chemical Research, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Intel on May 18 to strengthen joint research in the field of next-generation computing such as AI, high-performance computing, and quantum computers. In addition, the signed memorandum of cooperation also includes that Japan's physical and chemical research institute will receive Intel's chip foundry services to help prototype chip tape-outs.
