It is reported that the core change of the new car is still equipped with Toyota's fifth-generation THS hybrid system, which has a driving feeling closer to pure electric vehicles, and the comprehensive fuel consumption is also lower, and the configuration has been adjusted.
FAW Toyota's new Corolla still continues the overall shape of the current model, mainly in the details of the adjustment. From the details point of view, the interior decoration of the new front grille has been replaced by a dot matrix from the previous banner type, and the internal design of the high-end version of the LED light cluster will be adjusted, and a new style of multi-spoke wheels will also be available. In addition, two body colors have been added to the new car.
The interior design and layout of the new Corolla has also not changed, mainly in terms of configuration. Among them, the entry-level Pioneer version has been upgraded to 7 inches, while other models have a 10.25-inch central control screen, integrating the latest intelligent interconnection, and supporting CarLife/Carplay mobile phone interconnection, and is also equipped with TSS 3.0 intelligent safety assistance system. In addition, the 8 airbags in the new car will be changed to 6 airbags, and the rear double wishbone independent suspension will be changed to the torsion beam type in the fuel version.
In terms of power, the new Corolla still provides three types of power: a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, a 1.2T turbocharged engine, and a new fifth-generation THS hybrid system, of which the fuel version is matched with a CVT transmission. The Toyota fifth-generation THS hybrid system equipped with the intelligent hybrid dual engine version is composed of a 1.8L Atkinson-cycle engine and motor, the combined maximum power of the system is 137Ps, and the comprehensive fuel consumption is 4.06L per 100 kilometers.
Compared with the fourth-generation THS II hybrid system, Toyota's fifth-generation intelligent hybrid dual engine system will use lithium batteries with higher energy density, smaller size and lighter weight. Among them, the 1.8L three-electric system system is reduced by 13.3kg, the overall power is increased by 12%, and a miniaturized, high-speed motor is adopted to reduce losses and increase power output. The PCU electronic control unit has achieved 2% miniaturization and 17% lightweight, reducing losses by approximately 10%. It is worth mentioning that the system also adopts a newly developed lithium battery system, which has increased the power output capacity by 8% while achieving 34% miniaturization and 44% lightweight. In addition, the acceleration capacity of the new car from 0 to 60km/h can be increased by 14%.
