On 11 May, the National Immigration Administration issued an announcement to further adjust and optimize a number of exit and entry management policies and measures: from 15 May 2023, the expedited customs clearance at ports will be fully restored, the "national application" for group travel endorsement of mainland residents to Hong Kong and Macao will be fully resumed, the "national application" for mainland residents to apply for work and study permits for visiting relatives in Hong Kong and Macao, and the validity period of the stay endorsement for mainland students studying in Macao will be adjusted.
