This unit mainly talks about the struggle between the guidance group and Zhao Lidong, Gao Qiqiang and other underworld forces, and the underworld forces at this time are Gao Qiqiang and Jiang Tian, and in the end, the righteous side wins.
The materials that Xu Zhong, the leader of the guidance group, read on the car to Jinghai were the reporting materials that An Xin deliberately fell in An Changlin's house and was handed over by An Changlin. An Changlin has always taught An Xin that only by being in his position can he do what he wants to do, such as pursuing justice, and he also saw the timing of his submission of materials.
At first, Gao Qiqiang thought that the guidance group was just a formality, deliberately exposing several venues to catch gambling for the police. Tang Xiaolong was arrested, Gao Qiqiang tried his best to get people, and the direction of his efforts: Huang Lao - Meng Dehai - Guo Wenjie, director of the Public Security Bureau. 4. General Review
There are many characters in the novel, Gao Qiqiang's image is the fullest, An Xin's image is seriously flawed, and most of the other characters are tool people. The novel presents a more realistic dark Jinghai, but it does not complete the task of "telling the story clearly", let alone telling the story well.
1. Gao Qiqiang is more ruthless in the novel
In the past 20 years, Gao Qiqiang's transformation in all aspects has been very obvious, and he must have armed his mind through learning. The TV series let him learn the setting of "Sun Tzu's Art of War" is very good, and in the novel he watches "Poor Dad Rich Dad".
In 2000, Gao Qiqiang would return the color TV he sent, and An Xin Li Xiang took him to check, and he first declared that he would not give money for filming. This all reflects a typical thinking: poor enough to focus only on money and nothing else.
In 2006, Tang Xiaolong was released from prison. Tang Xiaohu said: Brother Qiang signed you up for a business school class, we have already taken it, so I sent you. Tang Xiaolong's first reaction: I was disliked.
And Gao Qiqiang said to Tang Xiaolong: If you want to get rich, you have to have a life, so you need to hurry up and study. If you don't hurry up and study, it's not us who leave you, it's you who leave us.
What Gao Qiqiang and Tang Xiaohu said was the same thing: Tang Xiaolong had just come out of prison and needed to strengthen his studies to adapt to society and the times. If Tang Xiaolong didn't learn, he wouldn't be able to keep up with Gao Qiqiang, and Gao Qiqiang wouldn't be able to take him to play.
The preface of this remark is that Tang Xiaolong went to prison to clean up Gao Qiqiang, and after Tang Xiaolong was released from prison, whether he could keep up with the times or not, Gao Qiqiang had the obligation to manage him.
Gao Qiqiang also has an implicit meaning: I must take care of you, but I also don't accept idle food. To be honest, Tang Xiaohu has already said it, and Gao Qiqiang's words are as tactful as possible, and he said it very levelly, fully taking into account Tang Xiaolong's mood when he was just released from prison.
By the way, Tang Xiaohu may have spoken more directly because of the closer relationship, but what he said was almost heart-to-heart. For example, when Tang Xiaolong was released from prison, Gao Qiqiang should have come to pick him up but did not come. Tang Xiaohu said, "What is Brother Qiang's identity now, how can he come to this kind of place."
Gao Qiqiang's alternative bribery method also reflects his improvement of connotation and long-term vision:

2. Anxin is very suspended
Gao Qiqiang has a family, relatives, a private life and feelings, and interests and hobbies, but An Xin does not. The novel wrote several pictures of him and An Changlin getting along: he competed with An Changlin, celebrated An Changlin's birthday, and barely counted it as family life.
Anxin only works. Therefore, Anxin's work ability is what TV series and novels focus on showing.
In 2000, he competed with An Changlin and lost to An Changlin, who was much older than him. In 2006, he practiced his left-handed marksmanship. In 2021, as the head of the propaganda section, he was able to take down fugitives while photographing colleagues arresting people.
After An Xin joined the guidance group, he was threatened by Jiang Tian's killer, and Xu Zhong asked him if he wanted to take it down, he said that it was all a life, and it was not appropriate to replace anyone. He doesn't sing high-profile, he says very simple truths, but it is awe-inspiring. He was always the one who hadn't been in the rain himself, but still tried to hold up an umbrella for others.
Many viewers felt sympathy for Gao Qiqiang after watching "Crazy" and felt that An Xin was not close to people. The TV series deliberately beautifies Gao Qiqiang and avoids his bad side, of course, it is one of the reasons, and An Xin is too far away from the audience is also a very important problem.
An Xin's protagonist aura is too powerful, and people like Chen Shuting and Meng Dehai will seriously reduce their intelligence when they encounter An Xin. Also, An Xin, who only works and has no self at all, is distorted, he is like a working machine without feelings, the author enters him with a command to "pursue justice", and he follows it.
It is true to pursue justice, but it is certainly wrong to pursue justice by unjust means. An Xin's dedication to work, the bad side is to achieve the end unscrupulously, and the police status means that he is a law enforcement officer, and his unscrupulous means often involves illegal law enforcement.
In 2000, Bai Jinhan did not cooperate with the investigation, and An Xin and Li Xiang stood at the door of the hall wearing police uniforms, affecting the normal operation of the enterprise; In order to go to Chen Shuting, he left the territory privately as a policeman, which was a violation of discipline, and he also prevented Cao Chuang from reporting to the leader, and he and Li Xiang caught crazy donkeys, which was actually an unapproved cross-district law enforcement.

In 2021, in order to report the news of Wang Shuai's arrest, he urged Meng Yu to work overtime to produce a film, knowing that the news would most likely not be broadcast smoothly, so he contacted self-media to create momentum, but did not tell Meng Yu. He knew that Meng Yu saw him with fake drugs, did not say anything, watched Meng Yu struggling in his heart, and finally Meng Yu drank the drink with fake drugs himself. When he was just a working machine, he could make sense to Meng Yu like this, but it was just inhuman.
To put it ugly, An Xin can live to the end, relying on "justice for purpose" + someone above. Bai Jinhan did not cooperate with the police in investigating the criminal case, because there were people above the boss Xu Jiang, An Xin Hulai, and because there were people above, when both sides did not act according to the rules, they could only see whose backstage was tougher, and finally An Xin was suppressed by Xu Jiang's backstage.
Tang Xiaolong did not put the criminal police officer An Xin in his eyes at first, and looked at him differently because he had the same surname as the deputy director of the public security bureau, and there may be someone on it. So inadvertently, Anxin, who had someone above, became the "umbrella" for Gao Qiqiang's start.
Many of the work situations that Anxin encountered could have had better ways and methods. An Changlin is very much in line with the image of a public official, he also has justice in mind and works tirelessly for it, and he is very methodical in his work, striving to hit the blow.
I don't mean to blame Anxin, because Anxin's problem lies with the author. On the one hand, the author makes An Xin a hero among public officials, and on the other hand, he makes him perform various behaviors that are not in line with the status of public officials. This paradox expresses the effect that the police can't do it – note that the final victory depends on the guidance group.
If the author's expression purpose is to express the hero Anxin, it can only show that the author's writing skills are lacking and he does not understand the work of the police at all, resulting in a huge contrast between the purpose of expression and the effect of expression.
The author is not only completely ignorant of police work, he wrote that Gao Qiqiang ran for secretary general of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and the mayor Zhao Lidong presided over the meeting. Zhao Lidong bypassed the district before and directly approved the projects of the village committee, and then presided over the CPPCC meeting, which is indeed very long.
A hot knowledge: "four sets of teams" (municipal party committee, municipal people's congress, municipal government, and municipal CPPCC) each perform its own duties.
Today's audiences are really tolerant of film and television dramas, and often see the audience respectfully saying that they can only write this way in order to pass the trial. But the pot can't hold all the problems. Looking back on so many years of film and television works, An Xin is not the first policeman to be the protagonist, why can other works show the police well, is it that other works do not need to be reviewed?
In other words, Anxin embodies a stereotype of public officials in the film and television industry, and this stereotype exists in all the main theme film and television works.
Film and television works need fierce contradictions and conflicts, so it is necessary to focus on personal heroism, and An Changlin is the protagonist and there is no drama. However, in actual work, it is difficult for individuals to complete work tasks alone, TA must rely on the strength of the team, and public officials must first abide by the law and cannot be impulsive.
3. Tool people Chen Shuting and Huang Yao
There are very few scenes of Chen Shuting in the novel, so few that there are too many descriptions of her. Her origin and background have not been explained, her identity is: casino owner wife, Gao Qiqiang's wife, Gao Xiaochen's mother, anyway, none of them are herself.
Chen Shuting is obviously a person who is deeply related to Chen Tai, and Gao Qiqiang relied on her to catch Chen Tai, so he was very afraid of his wife in the early stage. After Gao Qiqiang deceived Gao Qisheng, it was Chen Shuting who was afraid of Gao Qiqiang, so she ran away with her two children. However, the novel does not write how she later returned to Gao Qiqiang, only that Huang Yao explained her death at the end.
From An Xin finding Chen Shuting to her running away with her children, she has one thing that is relatively clear: she yearns for a stable life. An Xin spent a whole day looking for opportunities to convince Chen Shuting many times, and she agreed to help bring down Xu Jiang. This transformation is too blunt. This plot, the TV series shows better.
Gao Qisheng sells drugs, Chen Shuting said that you must not get drugs, and Gao Qiqiang said that you will sell them if you make money. Gao Qiqiang drunk driving, Chen Shuting said to find a driver. Chen Shuting's three views are more positive than theirs. She has pity for Huang Yao, which shows that she has a kind side.
The TV series is popular, Zhang Songwen is respected by everyone for his acting skills, and "sister-in-law" is respected for makeup. It's not impossible, after all, makeup is also a basic skill, which is like a chef using knife skills to attract customers first, but acting is her specialty. It may be because Chen Shuting's personality is shriveled, and the actor does not have much room to play, so he can only say things from makeup.
It's a pity that the role of Huang Yao is too bad, and the TV series and novels have not performed well. There are few kind and normal people around her, and at a young age, she must know how to observe words and disguise herself.
In front of everyone, she is only promised, well-behaved and sensible, and Gao Qiqiang has not hidden his anger in front of her many times. After she got the hard drive, she had a few seconds to remove all the disguise. She killed the only Chen Shuting who was really good to her because her heart was full of hatred and she was not well guided.
The female characters of "Crazy" actually have many missing:
Gao Qiqiang started with Chen Shuting, and the humble Huang Yao was one of the key figures in bringing down Gao Qiqiang, and they should have been described, but the author did not.
Gao Qiqiang's mother died early, and the author only mentioned An Xin's father, and did not mention An Xin's mother at all. Meng Dehai has guarded the bottom line, but his wife has long accepted the house given by others. Xu Zhong struggled in Jinghai, and his wife was confused to receive gifts. The depiction of these two ladies is also missing.
It seems that the female characters are the ones that the author has to write when telling the story, so I just make do with a few strokes. If from a feminist point of view, it will be easy to conclude that "Crazy" ignores female characters, but in fact, all the characters except the double male protagonists of "Crazy" are tool people, regardless of men and women.
4. Novel highlights
Contrast is a relatively good expression technique used in the novel, and the effect is also immediate. For example, Gao Qiqiang's own before and after comparison, Gao Qiqiang and An Xin's contrast, Lao Mo and Cheng Cheng were released from prison at the same time to form a contrast, Gao Qiqiang was happy to kneel his father here, Cheng Cheng couldn't enter there, and watched them "family reunion" through the railing, the contrast was stronger.
The plot that touched me the most in the novel was the scene where Yang Jian turned himself in.
Yang Jian was originally the head of the anti-drug detachment of the municipal bureau, and later became the deputy director of the power supply bureau. He set a rule when he was in the anti-drug team, when he called the names of his comrades who had died in the roll call, all the living members answered "yes". An Xin used this rule to awaken Yang Jian's conscience.
The TV series changed the protagonist of this scene to Xu Zhong, which actually weakened An Xin and the plot, but I still couldn't help but burst into tears when I watched it.
Yang Jian has a point that I despise, he said that embezzling hundreds of millions is for Meng Yu, in order to be worthy of the identity of the son-in-law of the Meng family. Meng Yu replied: When the son-in-law of the Meng family wronged you so much. Back then, it was Meng Yu who Yang Jian took the initiative to chase, or the phone call that Meng Yu's ex-boyfriend An Xin wanted, why didn't he feel unworthy when chasing Meng Yu?
Meng Yu said that Meng Dehai was not greedy, and Yang Jian said: So he made your mother disgusted for a lifetime. It is clear that he has low self-esteem, and he must not only throw the pot on the woman's head, but also tie up both his parents-in-law.
There are many more wonderful plots in novels than TV series. For example, Meng Dehai supports Yang Jian and they use drugs to deal with An Xin, and the daughter and son-in-law are of course more important than the sons of comrades-in-arms, which is very human.
Gao Qiqiang's teahouse was attacked, Gao Xiaochen fought to protect it, Gao Qiqiang saw Gao Xiaochen dying, showing his true feelings, this father-son relationship is well written. And the TV series was changed to Gao Qiqiang to kill Gao Xiaochen, and it was changed very bluntly.
When Gao Qilan was trapped in the elevator by the killer and her life was seriously threatened, she shouted: No one in Jinghai can mess with the Gao family. This is the reason why she can't be with An Xin, the TV series does not have this plot.
On the surface, Gao Qilan and Gao Qiqiang's illegal crimes have nothing to do with each other, but in fact, she has always enjoyed the benefits brought by the identity of Gao Qiqiang's sister, and she knows very well in her heart.
Typical details showing the power of the Gao family: the guidance group came to investigate, but the villagers still did not dare to speak, and the guidance group had to deceive the villagers through the village branch book in the name of free physical examination and egg distribution.
