Vietnam's white-eyed wolf is even kind enough to ask China to build high-speed rail! Have they forgotten how they once trampled on the olive branch handed out by China in front of Japan? Even if he forgets it, we can't forget this humiliation!

So what happened when the Vietnam Railways were built? And what caused Vietnam to pull down its face and find China again?

(Figure 1) High-speed rail construction

High-speed rail is very important for a country, not only can bring people a convenient way to go far away, but also promote economic development. Vietnam also knows this, but they have the dream of high-speed rail and do not have the strength to build high-speed rail. So bidding in the world has become the easiest way to get high-speed rail.

When it comes to infrastructure, China says that no country has yet dared to claim to be number one. And our achievements in the field of infrastructure have indeed become a benchmark and stepping stone, and China, which has the title of infrastructure maniac, naturally wants to go to recommend itself when it encounters such an order.

(Figure 2) Chongqing Cloud Bridge

Who would have thought that Vietnam would treat China coldly and threaten that China's infrastructure construction is vain and cannot be believed. China was then asked not to meddle in the matter, and that no Chinese-made equipment be present in the North-South high-speed rail project.

Such a slanderous and humiliating practice is indeed a disgrace to friendly relations between countries. Let's put aside the personal grudge between China and Vietnam, but it is the point that makes the mainland most angry because they turned around and promised to hand over the $64.8 billion project to Japan, and they were kind enough to ask for each other.

It's just that people can't help but laugh that the high-speed rail project signed between Vietnam and Japan has not moved an inch for 17 years! Even recently Japan issued a message that the high-speed rail will not be completed until at least 2045.

As soon as this news was exposed, Vietnam almost cursed, from receiving orders in 2006 to completion in 2045, who built a high-speed rail has to repair half a century! Isn't this pure pit man? Especially in Vietnam, after seeing that the China-Laos Railway and Yawan High-Speed Railway next door have been erected, it is even more unbearable.

(Figure 4) Yawan high-speed railway

So much so that some time ago, the Vietnamese prime minister held a meeting with Japan, held a series of discussions on the north-south high-speed rail project, and righteously asked them to complete the project as soon as possible. Obviously, Vietnam has regretted at this time, in order to gamble with China, the North-South high-speed railway is still a scratch paper after 17 years.

But the attitude given by Japan is always in the mud, there is no accurate start time, there is no specific completion time, just a cursory statement to let Vietnam go from where to go. Vietnam may be dying of anger at this time, but all this can only be said to "deserve it"!

But just when we were looking at it as a joke, the Vietnamese government changed its ugly face and put on a mask of hypocrisy and came to China for help. This is really outrageous mother to open the door to outrageous "outrageous home".

At first, the mainland kindly sent an olive branch, they did not want it, but instead begged Japan to come out of the mountains. Now licking his face to beg China, this is really feng shui turns. This can only mean that the evil fruits you have planted will be left for you to continue to taste.

But seeing this, I believe everyone must have a question. Although Japan has a bad reputation in the world, but in the field of high-speed rail, they do have the strength to dominate, how come to Vietnam, always show a rotten attitude?

As early as the 60s of the last century, Japan has already built high-speed railways in its own country. At that time, many high-speed rail technology industries were almost monopolized by Japan for a long time, so it was also deservedly the first in the high-speed rail construction industry. Simply put, it is the earliest start, complete technology, and the best quality.

Vietnam chose them partly because of this, so it has more confidence in Japan. Another point is that because of money, when Japan first competed with China, it could be said to do everything. Japan first promised to provide low-interest loans to Vietnam, and then waited until the high-speed rail was completed and opened to make up the money.

(Figure 7) Japan High-Speed Rail

When the high-speed rail line is opened, the Vietnamese government will not worry about money, and the economic pressure will be relieved, which can be regarded as a two-pronged thing. Therefore, the two countries signed this contract with a very satisfactory decision. But what makes people laugh out of their teeth is that the smoother the contract is signed, the more trouble there will be.

Vietnam has wanted to change partners more than once, and Japan has also wanted to pick and choose. Because Japan feels that Vietnam is looking for trouble. Initially, the two sides did reach an agreement to build a north-south high-speed railway more than 1,000 kilometers long. However, after further discussion within the Vietnamese government, it was discovered.

(Figure 8) Image from the Internet

The project is burning money, and if completed, it will cost half of Vietnam's GDP. Based on the development of Vietnam at that time, this money undoubtedly cost Vietnam half its life. Put all the money here, and other industries can close their doors.

Therefore, the Vietnamese side has some doubts about the operation of high-speed rail, they are afraid that they will not be able to return the capital after investing, and then they will bear a huge amount of foreign debt. Therefore, we negotiated with Japan again and proposed a series of ideas to reduce costs.

Reducing the planned high-speed rail speed from 320 kilometers per hour to 200 kilometers per hour is indeed a way to quickly reduce costs. However, after many consultations between Vietnam and Japan, Japan rejected this proposal for some individual reasons.

(Figure 9) High-speed rail

Subsequently, Vietnam cheekily made an even more excessive demand, that is, for Japan to change low-interest loans to interest-free loans. Because Japan's construction plan, plus the money it eventually needs to pay, it has reached more than 60 billion, which is already more than their budget.

But how could Japan agree to this kind of Vietnamese behavior to pay for Japan? I was busy for this project, and in the end, I was stabbed in the back by Vietnam, and no one would be willing to compromise on this. After calculating the whole thing, the project he did not earn any money, but he had to post money.

(Figure 10) Image from the Internet

Therefore, Vietnam's proposal did not get Japan to agree, Japan came all the way to earn money, not to give you Vietnam charity. Looking at it this way, we really can't blame Japan for not repairing it. As this disagreement has grown, the two sides have also been deadlocked on the matter.

So much so that in the four years since the two sides signed the contract in 2010, Japan has not sent personnel to the construction stage. The Vietnamese side saw that there was not even a wooden stake in that area, not to mention how unhappy it was. Later, Japan also knew that it would be bad for anyone to drag this matter on, so they made up their minds.

This section of the railway is divided into multiple sections of railway to be built, mainly in the economically developed areas of the country, and when it can be profitable after it is put into use, then start to build other sections. If there is no profit, go back to each house directly and terminate the cooperation after that.

The proposal sounded solid, and the Vietnamese side agreed to it, and then prepared to get started. According to the information given by Vietnam that year, the high-speed rail project connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City was designed for a maximum speed of 320 kilometers to 350 kilometers per hour, and the construction time was 30 years.

(Figure 12) Ho Chi Minh City

Although it was a hit it off, the construction method of this railway was determined. Only four years later, Vietnam has come up with a plan version 2.0, which is to build a mixed passenger and freight operation railway with a maximum speed of 250 kilometers per hour.

Japan is really anxious this time, you want money in Vietnam and no money, there are still a lot of broken things, one idea a day, find the immortals yourself to do it. Then Japan really acted as a handshaker, so this railway has not moved at all for 17 years with the tacit cooperation of the two countries.

(Figure 13) Flag of Japan

Not only Japan is angry, but also the Vietnamese side is angry, who is the gold lord! It's just that Vietnam is most angry that Laos next door has found a Chinese company to repair the railway. The overall strength of Laos is a few pounds and taels, and Vietnam knows it best.

Due to the unique geographical environment of Laos, the environment is relatively closed, and the country's economic conditions are worse than those of Vietnam at that time. Therefore, before the completion of the China-Laos Railway, there was only one railway in Laos. It is also difficult for local residents to travel far away.

(Figure 14) Flag of Laos

Vietnam is not short of muttering and mocking Laos behind its back. But this is the kind of Laos, no one thought many years ago that they would use the strength of the whole country to smash pots and sell iron and build a railway, and the partner was China, which was kicked out by Vietnam.

Vietnam is not only upset because Laos chose China, but also because the railway took only 5 years from the start of construction in 2016 to the opening of the entire line in 2021. And this railway is of good quality, cheap, and just good quality and low price.

(Figure 15) China-Laos Railway

Looking back at the railway that was still scratch paper that day, this gave Vietnam gas. In addition, in 2021 alone, Laos earned hundreds of millions of dollars in income from tourism alone. Laos itself believes that it will earn more income in the coming time.

In addition, as a passenger and cargo railway, the China-Laos Railway has transported more than 13 million tons of goods for Laos, and the economic benefits behind this cannot be measured by money. This railway has opened up the development of Laos and promoted economic improvement. If you want to build roads first, this phrase is most appropriate for Laos.

(Fig. 16) China-Laos Railway

It is also because of Laos' bold decision, the determination to build the railway, and the belief in China's infrastructure strength, this is a win-win situation. If Vietnam had not raised these infrastructure projects to the national level, they would not have panicked now.

The reason why Vietnam kicked the olive branch of the mainland out of the door is actually not difficult to understand, first of all, they have a strong sense of defense against China, and the reason is very clear in their own hearts.

At the earliest, the United States invaded Vietnam, and after receiving Vietnam's request for help, the mainland threw itself into the battlefield of resisting US aggression and aiding Vietnam without hesitation. After the bloody struggle of our People's Liberation Army, Vietnam was pulled back from the brink of death.

(Figure 17) Image from the Internet

It's just that people didn't expect that they would end up extending their black hands to China and provoking a war with China. In the end, this white-eyed wolf who did not measure himself also paid his due price. It is precisely for this reason that Vietnam has so far been reluctant to join the mainland's Belt and Road projects.

In our modern parlance, "It's not useful to give you a chance." The mainland is repaying its grievances with virtue, and this small-minded country is still drilling the tip of the bull there, and Vietnam, which does not leave this kind of thinking at all times, is destined to have no good development.

The second reason is more realistic, as the most pro-Japanese country in Southeast Asia, Vietnam has handed over the hope of national development to Japan, so it is not surprising that they handed over the high-speed rail project to Japan, but at this time.

Vietnam abandoned China and spent $64.8 billion to find Japan to build a high-speed railway, and after 17 years it still hasn't touched an inch

(Figure 18) Flag of Vietnam

Vietnam looked at the rotten project of its own railway, and finally remembered China's good, but ah, China helps the strong and the weak is not helping the white-eyed wolf. China's infrastructure industry has grown more around the world, with countless partners, and even superpowers like the United States have to ask China for help when they encounter difficulties in infrastructure construction.

What face does a small Vietnam have to denigrate China's infrastructure? And if Vietnam wants to repair this high-speed railway, it will collect its unrealistic careful thinking, and it is best not to have problems with small actions, and what is needed between countries is based on integrity.

Vietnam wants to build this railway well, treat people with snacks, and maybe China will accept their help.
