Scenic Area Introduction:
Dayuan Farm is located in a high-altitude hilly scenic spot in the middle of the Luoxiao Mountains at the junction of Yanling, Jinggangshan City and Suichuan Counties (Cities) in Xianggan Andang Province. Its center is the compound farm site, between 1350 meters and 1840 meters above sea level, with a total area of more than 80 square kilometers. The farm has more than 190 households, scattered around 29 small villages by mountains and rivers.

Yanling compound is located in the east of Yanling County, the middle section of luoxiao mountain range, and the junction with Jinggangshan, about 40 kilometers away from Yanling county, with a total area of 88.89 square kilometers, an average altitude of 1350 meters, a forest coverage rate of 98.6%, a maximum temperature of 26° in summer, and a maximum value of 198,000 negative ions per cubic centimeter; it has the world's largest wild rhododendron group, the Highest Drop Dongkeng Waterfall in Asia, the largest alpine wetland in China, and the Ice Mortar Waterfall Group more than 3 million years ago. Hundreds of millions of stones paved tea salt ancient road, Hunan's most beautiful sea of clouds and other dozens of various scenic spots, known as "health and happiness, outdoor paradise" is known.

Rhododendron is dull on the leaf surface, with bristles and glandular hairs and a small amount of rough hairs on the surface, thick papery, wide oblong inverted ovate, 18.5-22.5 cm long. The flowers are 8-9, born on the apical inflorescence, white, and the twigs under the inflorescence are about 1 cm in diameter, and flower from June to July.
Xiaoxidong Rhododendron is a rare wild plant endemic to Jinggangshan, which is a typical narrow-range distribution type that requires a specific growth environment and a very small population.
The earliest type specimen was collected in 1988 from the roadside of Xiaoxidong, Jinggangshan City, at an altitude of 810 meters, and is named after it, and is currently found only in Xiaoxidong and Jiangxi Pass (Dayuan Tea Salt Ancient Road Jiangxi Pass). This plant is of great value for the study of global plant evolution and fauna origin.
In addition to rhododendrons, there are also well-preserved pieces of primeval forest in the courtyard scenic area, the salt tea ancient road paved with hundreds of millions of ancient stones, the Dongkeng Flying Waterfall with the highest drop in Hunan, the highest 10,000 mu alpine tea garden in Hunan, and the highest sunrise observation deck in Hunan;
There are also national Grade I key protected wild plants named after the "compound" - the courtyard fir, the largest wild yunjin rhododendron group in Asia (an area of about 26,000 mu) with "dry like pine cypress, flowers and branches like peony", and a sea of bamboo that stretches for several miles; there are also cultural landscapes such as Lion Rock, Iron Head Prince Temple, Iron Watt Immortal, Martyrs Memorial Pavilion and so on.
