The three species of fish, the broad-finned carp and the albacore carp (pronounced "lie"), are all very similar native Chinese fish, with similar living habits, and the three species of fish (especially the salmon and the broadfin carp) often cluster together, preferring to swim in shallow shoals with fast currents and sandy bottoms. Male adult fish are popular with fish such as their bright body color and gorgeous group swimming effect, and are often raised as ornamental fish as native Chinese fish.
Opsariichthys evolans, also known as albacores, have stripes that are very similar to those of broadfin carp, and the habits and morphology are very similar to those of broadfin carp, and it is easy to confuse the two without comparison pictures. The juveniles of these two species of mackerel and purlin are quite similar, with only differences in mouth shape.
Broadfin carp, also known as peach blossom fish, its individual is small, but it is fatter, with high fat content and higher yield, which is one of the common edible miscellaneous fish. It is said that its flesh can be medicated, if it is removed from internal organs and scales, fresh use, has the effect of detoxification, insecticidal, the main treatment of boils, scabies and other diseases.
(Mouth shape of the mouthfish)
Among these three types of fish, the mouthfish is the best to distinguish, because its mouth is the largest and takes on the shape of a W. The mouthfish inhabit the upper reaches of the water and prefer low temperatures. It is an omnivorous, carnivorous fish. It is found in mountain streams, especially in shoals with faster currents and sandy bottoms or tributaries of rivers. They usually move in groups, often swimming and living with the carp. It feeds mainly on planktonic crustaceans, algae, small fish and shrimp, and underwater humus, and often eats some insects that fall on the surface of the water, and also eats artificial feed when artificially raised. The largest individual can reach about 20 cm. Although not a major economic fish, the salmon plays an important indicator role in biodiversity conservation and ecosystems and is a good species for pond removal of small wild fish.

The most important difference between salmon and carp
Although the salmon and the broadfin carp are both in the family Carp, the former is a genus of mackerel, the latter is a genus of carp, in terms of color the latter is more colorful than the former, and the salmon will become very "gorgeous" during the estrus period, but slightly inferior to the broadfin carp. In fact, the easiest way to distinguish is to look at the mouth shape.
As the name suggests, the mouth of the mouth is concave and convex, and the mouth is huge. The mouth of the muzzle fish is particularly large and very characteristic, the middle part of the lower jaw is raised, the sides are concave, the upper jaw is just the opposite, the middle is concave on both sides, and the upper and lower jaws are joined together like a "W" letter. Horsemouth fish is widely distributed in China, from the Songhua River and Nen River in the northeast to the middle and lower reaches of the main stream of the Yellow River and the Pearl River system. There are also mackerel in Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi and other places.
The broadfin has a flat mouth and a relatively small mouth. Compared to the horse's mouth, its mouth is relatively small, and there is no bump, but the lips are slightly thicker. The horse's mouth is still not comparable to the broad-finned carp in terms of color. Broadfin carp is found in most parts of China, from the northeast to Hainan Island. The albacore is mostly distributed in southern China. The markings on the broadfin are very wide, blocky patterns, and the longfin is thin striped.
