For the first time, Huanghua Port in Hebei Province intercepted a section of goat grass in imported soybeans

Recently, when the Huanghua Port Business Department of Shijiazhuang Customs Technology Center conducted laboratory quarantine inspection on a batch of imported soybeans, it found a quarantine weed- Goat grass with knots, which was the first time that the quarantine weed was intercepted in the imported soybean at the Hebei port.

It is reported that a total of 47 kinds of harmful weeds were detected in this batch, including 6 kinds of quarantine weeds, namely American ragweed, three-lobed ragweed, false sorghum, Amaranth longifolia, cang-eared genus (non-Chinese species), and knotweed goat grass.

Mainly distributed in Europe, Russia, Central Asia, the United States and Australia, it is an annual herb whose seeds will spread with the call or introduction of plants and plant products, competing for water and fertilizer, resulting in a serious reduction in crop yields.

Since april 2017, Huanghua Port Customs has inspected and quarantined a total of 73 batches of imported soybeans, intercepted a total of 378 species of insects and weed pests and 2760 species of insects and weeds, and 23 species of quarantine pests and 278 kinds of quarantine pests, including ordinary tumor stalk flies, short column leaf beetles and storage pest parasitic bees Ya ridged golden wasps, which are the first interception in China; German golden turtles and quarantine insects red fire ants are the first interception in Hebei, effectively maintaining the national biosecurity.
