Through modern scientific and technological means, monitors of the Argin Mountain National Nature Reserve in Bazhou have monitored rare wild animals such as snow leopards, brown bears, pan sheep, rock sheep, vultures, and bearded vultures in the reserve.

Located in Bazhou, Xinjiang, with a total area of 45,000 square kilometers and an average altitude of 4,580 meters, the Arjin Mountain National Nature Reserve is the earliest plateau ecological type nature reserve established in China. It is bordered by Qinghai CocoXili and Tibet Changtang Nature Reserve, and Qinghai Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve, which together constitute the largest group of nature reserves in the Northwest Plateau of China.
