The World of Warcraft Season suit isn't dead yet, and someone recently found an encrypted patch file of 1.15.0.49224 on the 10.1 PTR, possibly for the second season.
Whistleblower MrGM shared the discovery on Twitter, 60 nostalgia now has a maximum version of 1.14.3 (48611), and will reach 1.15.0 (49244) after the upgrade.
The season suit, also known as the elite 60 suit, reincarnation suit, adds the season mode on the basis of the 60 nostalgic suit, bringing some new gameplay each season, and the time span is one year. S1 was shut down in February 2023, and there has been no news of S2, but Blizzard has mentioned in multiple developer interviews that it will turn on S2 at some point.
The 1.15.0 patch is encrypted, the exact content is unknown. In terms of gameplay, the most widespread speculation is that S2 may introduce the official version of the hardcore mode, also known as expert mode and one-life mode. 60 Perpetual has a widespread folk version of hardcore gameplay, and participating players promise to delete their characters after death. This game is currently very popular abroad and has caused a significant increase in the number of servers. In the 10.1 patch code of the official service, there are some references to the hardcore mode, proving that Blizzard is considering this kind of gameplay.
