Left Leaf: A general without a military rank

author:Zhu Yuan zhang is invincible in the world

Zuo Ye was an excellent commander of our army, joined the Red Army very early, was both literate and martial, and suffered many heavy blows to the Japanese Kou in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and greatly increased the morale of our army. The most famous is the Battle of Songzhuang.

In 1941, Zuo Ye was appointed deputy chief of staff of the 17th Regiment of the Jizhong Military Region, and on August 2, he received a report from the commander of the Second Battalion that seventy or eighty devils had passed through Mafucai from Anguo County and suggested an ambush. Unexpectedly, the intelligence was wrong, the enemy was not dozens of people, but a brigade of several hundred people, this can be passive, Zuo Ye personally led three battalions to the battle together, and launched a white-knife battle with the enemy, fortunately, the 17 regiments had a tenacious style and extremely strong combat effectiveness, from early morning to noon, finally crushed the enemy, killing and wounding more than 400 enemy people, we also suffered more than 170 casualties, the second battalion commander and two company commanders were sacrificed. Zuo Ye had just arrived in the regiment and fought such a hard battle without authorization, causing one battalion commander and two company commanders to die, and the qi regimental commander did not even eat. Zuo Yejing was criticized and punished, but unexpectedly received 4 commendation telegrams, including the Central Military Commission. Because it is rare in the history of our army to completely annihilate a brigade of the Japanese army with one regiment, Zuo Ye was relieved.

The Japanese army had three extremely rampant units on the plains, namely the Silver Wheel Unit (Bicycle Team), the Tank Force, and the Kashima Takeo Cavalry Brigade, which were highly mobile, killing people and setting fires, and doing all kinds of evil. Zuo Ye was still in the 17th Regiment when he was still attacking the enemy tank troops, destroying 13 enemy tanks, and in February 1942 Zuo Ye served as the commander of the 22nd Regiment, saying that it was a regiment, but in fact there were only 650 people, which was at best a reinforcement battalion. As soon as he took office, he vigorously grasped the military skills training of the troops, which greatly improved the combat effectiveness of the troops. First annihilate more than 100 people of the Silver Wheel Army. On May 13, an ambush was set up, and the Japanese Kashima Cavalry Brigade was severely damaged in Wuji County, annihilating more than 180 enemy troops, killing the japanese inspection regiment leader, and Takingo Kashima was seriously wounded, while our army suffered almost no casualties.

In 1942, the Japanese Kou launched an unprecedented-scale sweep of the anti-Japanese base areas in Central Hebei, and Zuo Ye led the 22nd Regiment to annihilate more than 2,400 Japanese puppet troops at the cost of less than 200 casualties, of which Songzhuang was mighty and terrifying to the enemy in the First World War. This battle was not a passive battle by our army, but an active attack launched to cover tens of thousands of people. On June 7, Zuo Ye led his troops to meet a battalion of the original 17th Regiment, and when he learned that there were 20,000 or 30,000 people in the entourage, in order to cover the transfer of the masses, he disregarded the fact that he only had two companies and his troops were thin, and resolutely decided that the 17th Regiment would cover the mass transfer, and he would lead the troops to attract the enemy, first fighting a battle at Xiaozhaozhuang, and then resisting the crazy attack of more than 2,500 Japanese puppet troops in Songzhuang, annihilating more than 1,100 Japanese puppet troops, and killing Major General Sakamoto. In the end, the breakthrough was successful, and tens of thousands of people were safely transferred. The Battle of Songzhuang was a nightmare for the Japanese army, which seriously demoralized the Japanese army, and the japanese army, which had always been arrogant, was shaken due to heavy casualties, and a squad leader cowered and was shot. A squadron of more than 180 Japanese troops, after the battle of Songzhuang, there was a squadron of only 28 people left, a squad of two people left, the squadron leader in despair and 7 soldiers committed suicide. The Japanese army called Songzhuang a death village, which showed the shock of this battle to the enemy. After this battle, the prestige of the 22nd Regiment was greatly expanded from 650 to more than 1,000, while bringing military-civilian relations closer. It can be described as a political and military double victory.

Regrettably, Zuo Ye later moved to local work and did not catch up with the 1955 title. On July 4, 1992, 50 years after the battle of Songzhuang, Zuo Ye died of illness in Beijing.
