On April 16, in the 2023 Wuhan Marathon, China's He Jie won the championship with a time of 2 hours, 12 minutes and 35 seconds, the runner-up was China's Yang Shaohui with a time of 2 hours 12 minutes and 37 seconds, and Dong Guojian was third with a time of 2 hours 12 minutes and 55 seconds. So far, Hanma, which has restarted again after three years, has appeared for the first time in the top marathon in China, and Chinese runners have swept the top three men's races.

■ Champion He Jie is very domineering and hopes to become a dark horse of the Olympic Games

After the game, facing the camera, He Jie said a little playfully: "There are no requirements today, just take the championship!" ”

He Jie, born in 1998, from Ningxia, this is his first time participating in Hanma. Prior to that, he was the Chinese marathon record holder, meeting the 2024 Olympic standards.

Since the Shenzhen Marathon was held for eight years, He Jie is the first Chinese runner to surpass foreign runners and win the men's championship, and he is also one of the most bright runners of this year's Wuhan Marathon. At the finish line, He Jie successfully crossed the line for the first time, leading the foreign runner by about 2 minutes.

After the game, He Jie raised his hand and showed everyone his original five-star red flag wristband, he hopes to become a dark horse of the Olympic Games one day, "Chinese is to have this domineering!" ”

■ The victory was no accident, breaking a 16-year national record last month

On March 19, the National Marathon Championships (Wuxi Station) and Budapest World Championships and Hangzhou Asian Games Marathon Trials started with a shot, and He Jie ran 2 hours, 07 minutes and 30 seconds to win the championship, breaking the national record for men's marathon (2 hours, 08 minutes and 15 seconds) that Ren Longyun had held for nearly 16 years.

In 2014, He Jie showed amazing perseverance after being selected by the provincial team coach to join the professional team. In a 10,000-meter long-distance running competition at the Games, when his running shoes were stepped on on on the second lap, He Jie ran barefoot for the remaining 10 laps, and finally won the medal, and was carried off the track and field by the coach after the race. Just a day later, he stood on the starting line again after a foot injury and won another silver medal.

From 2016 to 2017, He Jie encountered a bottleneck period and trained as a sparring partner. Based on his ability to endure hardships and strong aerobic ability, but not superior in absolute speed, he switched to marathon.

In 2018, He Jie started his first marathon trip.

■ Bonded with Hero City and came to Wuhan to study at university this autumn

In the Hero City Arena, He Jie enjoyed it very much. He said that the track of Hanma is very good, and the scenery is as far as the eye can see. "Especially East Lake, there are trees on both sides, and the breeze blows all the time."

He Jie believes that Hanma's service, supply, track environment and other aspects of experience are very good, and it is a marathon event with "zero bad reviews" in China.

In the future, he will work with his two brothers to prepare for the Budapest World Championships, the Hangzhou Asian Games, and next year's Paris Olympics, "running every race well and winning glory for the country." ”

As for the more recent plans, He Jie revealed that he will study social sports at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). He believes that reading and studying allows him to accumulate a wealth of knowledge professionally and theoretically.

"In the future, I will not only come to Hanma often, but also spend a long time in Wuhan every year." In this way, his fate with Wuhan may have just begun.

■ Share experience with Wuhan runners and sink your heart into long-term training

On the afternoon of the 16th, He Jie came to the sixth floor of Wushang Mall World Trade Center to share his experience with Wuhan horse racing enthusiasts. "We have to be in awe of the marathon and be fully prepared before we play." In this past winter training, He Jie's weekly running volume reached 230 kilometers. He suggested that amateur horse runners should focus on aerobic running in their daily running, lay a good foundation, and spend half a year or a year to prepare well. "Training for a marathon is a cyclical process, not a class or a run that can make a big difference. Therefore, daily training must be calm, and the construction of one's own ability must be completed in a long-term manner. He Jie suggested that runners should not be too entangled in whether a certain state is good or not.

"Again, happiness and health come first." He Jie said that running is for health, not because of running and injured, timely attention to physical feedback is very important.
