Sun Zhixiang, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Wuchang District Cpc Committee and leader of the Xugui Village-based task force, introduced that melon planting is a key industrial project for precise poverty alleviation in Xugui Village, and the Guapu Base in Xugui Village has transferred more than 400 mu of land, with an annual output of nearly 10,000 yuan per mu and an annual sales volume of more than 4 million yuan. The village can receive a fixed dividend of 100,000 yuan from the Guapu base every year, increasing the collective income of the village. The base employs nearly 20 poor households to work at the "doorstep" of the card, and the average annual income of each household is nearly 10,000 yuan. The base also led 163 villagers to obtain land circulation fees, and the average household income increased by about 760 yuan.
It is reported that since the start of the battle against poverty, Wuchang District has identified 53 counterpart assistance units, successively selected more than 550 outstanding cadres, and invested more than 60 million yuan in support funds. 23 poor villages have successively established 68 poverty alleviation projects, including vegetable planting, aquaculture, forest fruits and flowers, photovoltaic power generation, village-enterprise joint ventures, etc., and have all been implemented, with an annual collective income of 3.6 million yuan.
